Well I did it......

I put my 05 Mustang GT on order yesterday.

Premium Pkg
Black/Dark Charcoal Leather
5-spd
Upgraded interior.

7-9 weeks before delivery, but I really think 12-14

Did not want to do any audio or alarm options so I got out cheap.

Retail: 26,780
Inv: 24,775
With D-plan I should be around 23,500.

First time I have ever ordered a car.

yes I did, and have not really been that happy since day one. I wished I would have bought the WRX like I wanted but declined because the "Subaru" name. Now I still wouldn't mind the WRX, but this Mustang has been calling me. Also since my girl works for Ford, I get it at Employee price.

Going to trade that sucker in, gonna loose my ass though. Havent had it a year yet. I put 3500 dn on the RSX but I know I will still in the hole at least 2k when this comes in. So now I need to save some money to offset the loss

lolz... No. You already have a SMR CLS... I'm keeping mine for awhile to try to beat the depreciation curve (a little) too. I'll keep you posted. Watch the blackmarket forum for more details

Ok, I thought about it... You're next in line after Chops (who's got some top secret deal going on... Scalbert's CL ??)

With the below invoice (employee) price that you got, you really can't complain either

On top of that if Ford does have rebates on this thing I will still be qualified for those as well. I dont see that happening though

Not to hijack the thread, but what's the employee price of the Ford GT?

If you got the scratch to even pay for a GT you shouldnt be wondering about the employee discount.

I ordered the same car 11/05, but mine has Side Airbags, Active Anti-theft, and polished wheels. I got the car using the X-plan, which was about 50 dollars over invoice. I am expecting my car to be in early in January, since the plant shuts down for a while during X-Mas thru New Years. The car responds real great to mods from what I am seeing. A guy just dynoed an Auto GT with the SCT chip and gained 23 rwhp. The cars should be in the low 13s/high 12s with a few simple mods.

Check out the newest MM+FF's when it comes out, they ran 13.4. A couple of other guys have run 13.6 on the stang boards. The car dynos at around 275 rwhp and with a few simple mods should be over 300 rwhp. TeamJDM ran a 12.5@108 with 4.30 gears, shocks/springs, mufflers, 17" ET streets, pullies, and an SCT tune.

And it'll get more interesting once the supercharger companies (vortech, etc) start making kits for the new stang...

ATI, Vortech, and Whipple had kits at SEMA; they should be out soon or already might be. There are a few turbo kits being developed, which I would be interested in.

I just priced a Bassani for a little over 700 dollars. I love the sound but since the 05 GT is not getting gobs of power from aftermarket exhaust I might just do a magnaflow axle-back. Not sure yet.

I looooove the 04 Cobra's but the new body style is awsome, and I need some sort of gas mileage. I know my right foot would be wiping out that part.
