sweet, I've always had a thing for older VWs, just don't know that much about them. another vote for spilling the beans on the specs!

Thanks guys! We got it already painted and bone stock 2 years ago.
Decklid is open just to let allow more air flow, for both the carbs and for cooling.
Motor is a 2109cc with dual Weber carbs, guesstimating around 150-160 hp or so. Hopefully going to get it dyno'ed here in the next few months.

Very nice looking VW! These cars have gotten rarer and rarer, it's great to still see someone with a nice model out there! By the way, the AA at the front of the license plate is for a district very near to where I lived when I was in Germany, though where I lived it was BB. (Boblingen)

Love the luggage rack, very clean build you have there. What are your plans for it? Cali-style maybe? I know someone who used to have the worlds fastest street-legal beetle. My father has owned over 13 different VW's mostly beetles, but he did have a Karmann Ghia for awhile too. Here's his friend Kurts car in VW trends magazine if your interested it runs 10 second 1/4's so yes they CAN be fast: http://www.vwtrendsweb.com/features/...top/index.html

Nice Bug man. I had a buddy of mine who was into bugs when I was a teenager. We used to work on that car on weekends all the time.
So easy to work on and pull the motor in like a few minute.
He had dual Webers on his at one time and he would run it with a stinger on it and man it was loud & quick.
