whoa.. some serious competition for the tsx as well as the TL... Acura should step up their game.. BMW is really bringing up the bar in performance..

the 1.35 is a major beast with great low end torque. Although it's base model (1.28i) is much slower, it will definitely bring some competition to our inline-4 FWD...

 

and note the top speed (ELECTRONICALLY shuts off at 150+) with a tune it would be beast...

That engine is probably underrated too.

 

But its a coupe. I seriously doubt they'll be a lot of cross shopping happening there.

Ok, so the annoucement wasn't official till the end of june this year, but we've been seeing spy pics since at least last year...

I'm waiting on final pricing to see if I'm going to get rid of my acura CL coupe and move over to the lighter, rwd 1-series... (maybe the cheaper 128i instead of the 135i). I'll probably wait for the new model hoopla to die down and look into the 2009 model (pricing should be better then).

I was thinking about the TSX as my next car, but since I don't need a sedan, the 1-series is almost exactly what I want... Wish it was lighter, but if it's cheap,, it'll have to do
