Vtecklr

So as I was driving to work today and saw a new Datsun Altima coupe right beside me. I didn't think anything until I saw the plate. I was trying to make it out, I first saw VTEC but didn't make out the KLR. I read it as V-TEC-CULAR. I thought in my mind why would someone put that on a Datsun? Then it made sense. I'm no racer but thought it was funny. The new Datsun Altima's specs were pretty impressive for the V6 model, 3.5 DOHC 280HP but it's still an Altima

I only laughed cause Nissan's quality has been crap (IMO) for the past forever years and also I know some dudes who think they're literally invincible with their Sentra's LOL. But then again it's no different with Honda drivers (can't forget the almighty Civic).

I'd take the quality of my friends Infiniti over my Acura any day.

I would love to know what rock you're living under. You know that Oldsmobile no longer exists and Hyundai is no longer making the Excel, right?

Never saw the old commercials?

"Datsun is now Nissan" - big campaign when they did the name change. Pretty long time ago though - back in the days before CD's and AIDS.

I've never compared the 2 but I do like the G37 design better than the TL.

Do you guys remember the Datsun B210? I remember that used to be the top (or so it seemed) small car from them. The big 3 laughed, and used to say that the Japanese can't make a "big" car. Ha.

I agree. I think Honda's first attempt at a luxury car was called the Sterling. Can you imagine a Sterling TL Type-S? Toyota was almost Toyoda, that name would've set them up for failure for sure.

If you guys would have never heard of any of the newer names, the normal would be a Sterling TL or a Datsun Maxima.....

I know what Datsun is, I just didn't understand why he was calling it a Datsun Altima. I thought the guy had changed the Nissan badge to a Datsun version or something.

LOL, you're correct.

I just never thought I'd see anyone in an Altima dissing Honda.

LOL, I think I'm just getting old bro. I remember paying attention to things like when I was in my late teens and early 20's. When I think Altima, I think of this:
