VIDEO: Toyota Employees Taped Stealing From, Watching Porn In Customer's Truck
The first two times Jason brought his truck in to his local Toyota dealership for service, he noticed that someone had taken quarters from his change compartment. He complained both times, but was ignored. So the third time he brought his truck in, he placed a video camera on the passenger side. The dealership didn't ignore him this time.
Jason was originally only concerned about the missing quarters, but his camera also captured Hampton Toyota employees sifting through his medication, using racial slurs, and watching porn in Jason's truck. Jason emailed us a copy of the letter he sent the owner of Hampton Toyota.

That is quite a score Jason made, I'm quite happy that these scumbags got what was coming to them.

exactly...i completely strip everything out of my car and put it into bags and into my trunk. i then disengage the trunk release button and lock the glove compartment so it cannot be turned on again. I then hand mechanics the valet key which ONLY opens the door and starts the engine...im also nice enough to leave the owners manual out if needed but thats all they get!

The sizzle in the Steak
I still don't understand why people leave anything of value in their cars when they take them in for service.

You don't want anyone going through your stuff? Take it out before you get to the dealer. I never intentionally have gone through a customers personal belongings, but if I have to take out your golvebox/center console/tear apart your trunk, I have to take out your junk. Its easier to just empty your belongings before taking the car in for service then doing all that crap. It makes the technicians life easier and there is no chance of stuff disappearing.

How do I install a camera like that in my V? It's almost time for its first service and a car like mine is a prime joyride target for service employees.

Two of the service guys took the car out for a test ride and took a turn at excessive speed. They proceeded to wrap his, basically brand new Corvette around a tree. He walked into the dealership, the manager walked him over to the lot of new Corvettes and told him to pick out any one he wanted. I am not kidding.

I wish I still had the pictures but back in 92/93 a friend of mine dropped his 92 Corvette off at a local dealer for service. He got a call late in the day asking him to come into the dealership.

This reminds me, I left a ton of crap in my car when it was dropped off at the dealer last week!
The only thing of value is probably my Coach CD case in the trunk. And no it's not the one with all the Cs all over it! Just black leather.
Oh and my cup of Eclipse gum. I really miss my gum...

my friend works at a toyota/lexus dealership, someone brought in their mint 96 TT supra with 30k miles in for some maintenance, and some mechanics decided to take it out for a joy ride. needless to say the GM was waiting for them when they got back and were fired on the spot.
but i noticed at the acura dealership, and even the honda dealership i always get my quarters stolen....
