I'll never forget about 8 years ago when street racing was HUGe out here my buddies shop challenged a couple armo's to a race in their 10 second hatch. They were running there mouth and there was about 5K on the race w/ other side bets. Needless to say the Armo's came in a big trailer and unloaded a prestine 69 camaro off the trailr w/ a sc'd 540 ci motor. We got fuckin slammed about a 1/4 mile down the track

I'm sure there are plenty of cars driving the streets that'd take that EVO. I'm sure that guy just doesn't want a shit ton of miles on his *classic* camaro.

do you think it was street legal or maybe he didnt want to get bothered by the police? one of the mechanics i work with has a 69 camaro with god only knows how much rwhp...he cant drive it on the street, cops always stop him, search it, etc. i would save the hassle and put it on a trailer.

you mean you couldn't see all the ripples in the body panels; the bondo; and the half primer paint job when it pulled up to the street light?

Actually, if you watch the car come off the trailor it's about perfect on the right side.

ripples? no, none...

I see some light primer around the wheel well on the left, nothing like your describing...

And that camaro easily walked that guy. At those power levels thats a big difference.

Then again it's a movie at night so things may not be anything like they appear could be some buffing compound on the car and I have nothing against domestics... how about you?

maybe I have bad eyes?

the Z06 sounds (and moves) ridiculous. it seriously could be mistaken for, like, a spaceship.

What a race! Seems like the EVO just barely edged out the vette.

honestly I'm surprised the Camaro stayed ahead. I would have expected it to start losing steam towards the top end, and I would have expected the opposite from the EVO.... hmmm......

I think it was because the Camaro was just plain faster. It probably would have been worse for the Evo at a lower speed. That Camaro was a beast.
