vette or 350z
ok so my current car is getting old and its time for a new one
im kinda stuck between two cars
01 black corvette coupe/ 6 speed 60k miles/ base model
04 silver 350z roadster/ 6speed 26k miles/ loaded w/everything but navi
both are around the same price at 20k
i love them both they are both sexy fast cars, of course the vette would beat the 350z but the 350 has alot more aminities
any suggestions guys cause im stuck

They both have almost the same gas mileage, 17/25

I'd go with the Vette. Contrary to what most people think, the Vette's fuel economy is actually pretty decent, won't be surprised if it's better than the 350Z hwy and city combined. Interior quality, I guess they are about the same. The Vette will turn my head on the street, while the 350Z doesn't.

Insurance shouldn't be that bad (depending on your age). When I was still under 25 and had my vette (an '03 Z), it was a couple more dollars a month then the '04 TL that I traded in on it.
MPG isn't bad at all on the highway-I got mid to high 20's on the highway when I left in 6th-and I had 3.73 gears in it to boot.
The 350 is an amazing machine, but the vette will leave you smiling when you punch it. Plus bolt-ons and a tune can get you about 400 whp. Not to mention the vette has amazing mpg for a sports car.

About the MPG, i'm no pro with the LSx motors so I just figured a giant V8 would suck up gas. My brothers Z sucks in the city but gets pretty decent MPG on the highway, but I can't imagine a V8 doing better than a V6 in the city. I know what the cars are rated at, but most of those ratings aren't in real world conditions. I still think the Z would average better mileage in everyday driving....

1) My dads vette gets better AVG MPG than me CL.
2) Insurance on the Vette is prolly cheaper than you think.
The funny thing is insurance on an LS1 Camaro is more expensive than a Corvette at 19.... take it for what its worth. Though I'm not sure how much it would be compared to a 350Z.
I would take a Corvette, especially if the 350Z is a roadster... top up, those things are an abomination

Though I'll tend to agree....

01 vettes feel like cheap cars inside and are a big expense to maintenence and keep up. plus the 350z is newer and more modern looking, but i would not get a drop top in either one. 04 350z track edition or touring with the leather is hot..jmo

the vette will not be any more impractical then the Z....neither have a back seat and the vette has more storage.........it also gets better gas mileage, and generally insurance is most likely cheaper.

cheaper and easier to get more power out of the vette.
I was thinking the same thing
