VERY Interesting Thread on ClubLexus Regarding Luxury Cars

Hey guys, I came across this thread while scouring through ClubLexus for hawt reading material while at work. Came across this thread and thought it was very funny and actually came to learn a lot about stuff.

Very interested in hearing comments regarding the thread and hope a debate over Acura doesn't start here.

Also, I thought it was funny that Sicklex started the thread and decided that he caused way to much drama and had to close it.

We argue that Honda cannot afford not to develop a RWD chassis and at least a V8 engine to stay competitive in this market

WTF! They did even better by going with SH-AWD!

Honestly... I can't see this going anywhere constructive as already evidenced by a few replies, plus the fact that even THEY closed the topic on their forum... so I'm going to just nip this in the bud now.

We all know what happened to Acura the last few years. We all know they are trying to work on it. Few of us like the fugly grille but I bet Acura knows about that, too, and will fix it. Seeing that the Lexusheads think similarly, though more extremely, to many of us Acura enthusiasts (and they do, from reading the thread and comparing it to multiple Acurazine threads on the same. damn. topic. over. and. over. again ) indicates the problem Acura has in its perception even among its own customers.

They gotta do something to bring me back to the fold, and I think they will succeed and be a Tier 1 luxury marque. It's gonna take a while, but I'm confident. For the record, I think the RL and MDX are Tier 1 luxury autos even w/o V8s and RWD, and the rest of the Acura line are Tier 2, though the 4GTL is a big step up now.

What a tool this 1SICKLEX is.. what kind of mod closes a thread and ends by saying "Seems to be a common denominator we don't have this issue with BMW, Benz, Audi threads, aka REAL luxury brands."

+1 on sicklex. Many of the comments were reasonable (especially about the RL), though some of them were the ordinary junk we expect of Lexus fanbois. The biggest reason for sicklex's statement is because he was kicked off this site and still has some sour grapes about it.
