Valve stem question...

So I was out putting air in the tires this evening and one of the value stems on the Murano won't accept air. Pushing the release will let air out, but air won't go in. I was able to put air in the other three tires with no issues.

I've never seen this. Granted a tire shop can put a new one in... Anyone ever seen something like this?

ya, I had that happen in the past, just needed to replace it.

BTW, do you ever have a problem putting gas in the murano? My rental won't ever let me fill up the tank, it starts giving me problems when it's about half way full. I've found it easier if you put the gas nozzle in upside down, but it still starts clicking when it's about 3/4 full, or it'll do a severe overflow.

Nope. Never had that issue.

In fact, the Murano has been 100% trouble free.

Yeah, its happened to me as well. Before you take it to a tire shop, however, try to replace the insert of the valve stem with a new one. In my case the insert wasn't threaded correctly in the stem itself. Only a few cents to buy a new insert from a parts store and the tool required to remove the item is usually under a dollar as well.
