So I called ups only to find out that they cannot seem to find a missing rim and tire. I have 3 audi a8l wheels sitting in my living room anxiously awaiting their long lost brother. This has been a week today since I have been trying to get someone from ups that gives a shit about my package they lost. Everyone there doesnt care and has no idea what is going on. Not only is it the rim and tire but also 4 15mm h&r hubcentric spacers, centercaps and extended lugs for th spacers. Im heated.

Thought that was the whole point of having the tracking number/bar code? You know, so they can track the freaking package and let you know wherever it is on a globe.

Lame on UPS's part...

Dammn thats shitty, they should be reliable for it if they lost it. Off topic.. my friend has a Jetta GLI with 19" audi rs4 wheels and it looks sick

On a positive note, those A8 rims look sweet on that Jetta... Just not that colour Jetta...

 

rims are probably the worst things to ship, ivr seen tons get destroyed because the boxes arent nearly strong enogh and the edges get smashed and the label falls off. no label no findy..

 

I found someone on vwvortex who is a manager for ups who is looking into this for me but he said more then likely the label fell off. I have called the 1800#, the ups store who shipped them, the warehouse. Noone seems to know what is going on.

FYI: JUST FOUND OUT THAT UPS TAKES ALL ITEMS THEY FUCKED UP THAT HAVE NOWHERE TO GO AND PUTS THEM IN A WAREHOUSE IN KANSAS. THESE ITEMS ARE THEN AUCTIONED OFF AN SOLD IN LOTS.

I had a similar story with FedEx, they fcked 2 of my volks, but ended up refunding me 100% for the entire set... but.. they took back the volks... I was hoping I could keep, refinish, and then sell.. I wonder what ever happened to them....

 

I buy local at discount tires. They hell with shipping something so easy to scratch.

Shit happens, I hope you have insurance. If you need to file a claim make sure you have original invoice ready to fax to them to show actual price.

 

On the rare occasion I've had a problem with UPS they have taken care of my claim no problem.

Sorry to hear that.. I haven't had any bad experience with UPS yet. I just got my rims last week and everything went well. I hope you get your rim back... btw, nice TV you got there..

ups is by far the worst and most disorganized in my experience, and the problem is compounded by the fact that a ton of companies use them. here's my recent experiences with them:

-they shipped a small package to some random coffee company across town

-call to have packages shipped to workplace, packages are resent to my home, i call to pick packages up, drive there, packages already sent to the sorter to be shipped to workplace
-two of those packages need to be returned, ups idiot picks up one cus the return# only lists one box. i go around and around with the shipper and finally 2 weeks later one of the idiot ups reps calls me and i explain it to them

 

where did you hear that from? and know where in KS? id like to get my hands on some of the crap they "lose" I know one of their main centers is in lenexa. This is why I never ship UPS unless I have to, they tend to always lose my shit and then done seem to give a fuck about it

I work for UPS ans am sorry to hear about that, but if anything they cant find the wheel they should and better remburse you. Shit happens when you ship.

 

I had that happen to me with FedEx and a tire shipment. I received only enough tires to mount on a trike. Turns out the fourth tire was lost and I got it a week later.

 

airborne express is the worst...I had a package that looked like someone suplexed it...The guy shows up to my door like I was actually going to sign for it. To this day I have not gotten reimbursement, I was so angry and pissed...talking to people that don't give a shit...

 

Now they are telling me there are 3 days left on the tracer and if its not found they can only give me $100 because the shipper never insured the package. I am about to go UPS'tel on their ass. I am ready to flip the fock out.

 

Thats why u are suppost to insure every package u send through the system, again I am sorry about the bad news.

 

How about doing their job and not lose the package in the first place?

Especially when there are 4 identical wheels and tires sitting together. It doesn't take a Rhodes Scholar to figure out that they are probably going to the same destination.

 

You sure the seller ship out all the requested items? o and by far, DHL is the worst, always late and they too seem to not care about your shipments

 

Shippers fault then. You have to declare on the shipping form the amount of coverage on the package. You bought these private party? If so, time to get them involved...

 

With a company as big as UPS that ships worldwide your set of rims to them is probably like a needle in a haystack. Not saying that they dont care about the customers, but just sayin that if you ship with a company you better damn insure the package, if not it falls back on the customer. But on the other hand I would be pissed as hell, but im sure somethin will work out eventually for the better or worse, ohh and by the way if u talk to em again tell em I need a raise!
