Upgrading to RSX-R Brembo brakes

had an interesting conversation last night w/ some guy from a car meet.

I had mentioned that our CL-S share the same brake disc/calipers as the RSX-S. I also told him how crappy they are cause our cars are so heavy and the brakes fade quite frequently (especially auto-x-ing).

He said "why don't you upgrade to the JDM DC5 Integra Brembos off of the Type-R". (For those that don't know, the DC5 Integra is the RSX here.) The newest Type-R in Japan comes with 4-pot Brembo calipers w/ "Italian made Ferode fade resistant brake pads" and I believe Brembo blanks.

Supposedly all I have to do is find someone in Japan that will go to a wrecking yard to find a set for me. that should be easy right???

any thoughts???

the CL and RSX dont share brake systems.

there are differences, most noticeable in stock disc size.

RSX aftermarket brake upgrades do not work on our car according to everything I've heard.

A Wilwood tech told me they test fitted the RSX kit on a CLS and it didnt work.

So I would imagine these wont work either.

Would be nice tho... give er a try.
