i think it looks very nice.

i've always thought about buying an sti, with a rear spoiler delete request from the dealership (i don't even know if it's possible).

if funds aren't an issue, i'd do it.

Test drive and decide if it's as comfortable and smooth as your TSX. You are going from apples to oranges here, I wouldnt say it's an upgrade....just a completely different category of a car.

I completely agree.

The car looks nice though. Much better without that big wing on the back.

As much I respect the performance of the STi, I think the TSX is a terrific all around car only lacking one attribute: power. Hence, if I were a TSX owner then I would just wait until some aftermarket company (i.e.: Cybernation) makes a turbo kit for the K24A (assuming one does not already exist ).

If I were going to trade the TSX into a Subaru, it would likely be the LGT Spec B.

If you live in a city and that's all the driving you do I wouldn't do it. If you live out in the country and have some nice roads, I'd much rather have an STI over most cars.

Yes. For the money one would spend trading in for the Subaru, it would make so much more sense to add a SC or Turbo to the TSX.

Why downgrade to a non-luxury ... eh .... less luxury make and model?

I agree-something about the STI makes me want to barf. I can respect that some can be exceedingly nasty. I cant put my finger on what I hate about the car, but i would choose a classier, more respectable Legacy over an STI any day. I have a TSX and have driven/ridden in an STI, and I would chose the TSX any day over an STI.

Just to add my there is no turbo application yet for the tsx k24a2 due to lack of engine mgt, i.e. K-pro. The only thing out right now is the comptech supercharger/special hondata reflash combo. But for 5k you only get about 60whp. It would be nice to be able to tune a turbo setup since the k24 has such a long stroke and high compression, you need to be able to tune it to maximize performance and not blow up your engine.

I agree with those who mentioned the Legacy GT. Don't think I'd ever go from a TSX to an STi. Seems like too much of a downgrade despite the additional power in the STi.

i agree that going from tsx to regular sti would be somewhat of a downgrade. however the sti limited seems to have all the options that a tsx has plus power. the only thing that i'd toss probably is the stereo but i did that with my tsx as well...

Looks nice. Im still not a big fan of the tribecca look.

The STi will cost over $5,000 more than a brand new TSX. I hardly think thats a downgrade...

So many Evo/STi haters Its a detuned rally car. For those of you who have no idea what that is

Can't sell the new STi. Much less than the previous model here in the States. I think less than 4-5000 were sold same goes for the Evo probably with a bit more sales.

The STi & Evo are purpose built cars and are not as rounded as the TSX. Being "$5G" more than the TSX just makes it overpriced.

Just b/c it costs more doesn't mean you can compare ride quality, fit and finish, and comfort. The TSX just does those things better. It's an apples to oranges comparison. I don't think there's much hate for those cars, it's just that many people wouldn't give up those things to get into one. They also carry that boy-racer stereotype which many people outgrew. Personally, I like the STi and Evo, but I would never own one...
