Up next: TSX?

Just picked up a EX-L '14 accord and wanted to spend another 7-8k on a TSX.
Apart from a PPI from my mechanic, anything I should look out for?
I'm looking in Austin, Houston, Dallas, OKC.

With $7-8,000 what kind of mileage do you thing would be acceptable for a 04-06 TSX and 07-08 TSX?

Since you have a practical car, why not get something more sporty than a TSX? Maybe a S2000?

This doesn't make sense to me. A 2014 EX-L Accord is pretty much a TSX minus a few features. Is there a specific reason you want a TSX? For the wife? To mod?

In my area, $8000 gets you a 1st gen TSX, 2004-6 with 150000 + miles. You won't find a 2007-8 TSX for that little.

Personally, I'd buy something else.

This is exactly what I thought reading the OPs post.

Outside of HID headlights, what will an 06 TSX have that a 2014 accord doesn't? That's all that came to mind for me.

Do you just want to keep miles off of the Accord?

Okay here's the situation.
My mom found an '13 EX accord for 17.4k(18.5k after TTL). She wants another accord but I told her she can have mine. The car payments are less than $260 on it and I owe less than what the '13 accord would cost.
I was thinking I'll pass her the '14 EX-L and buy a TSX and have enough cash to purchase another car in case we need one(which I'm preparing for because it might be possible that our old ass camry craps out soon enough)

I'm just trying to think what would be best.
I have a '06 TL and the transmission shat out on me so I sold it but my moms worried a higher mileage TSX will be problems.

instead of doing that...I know you're trying to help your mom...so let her get the '13 Accord and help her with the payments, instead of plunking down an additional 8K on...a TSX...

Would rather have a lower mileage 04-06 then a higher mileage 07-08. Dunno about the first gen., but the second gen has a much more responsive drive then the Accord. Drive a TSX then an Accord hard and it will be apparent. Dws makes a difference.
