I'm pretty impressed that the base mini has managed to stay under 2600 lbs after the re design.

I've always loved the Mini and now really like the re-designed Beetle. I would take either of them as a 2nd car....but first I need and am still looking for something with real balls.

Still skeptical of the CR-Z's power...but I like how it looks.

The CR-Z has a lot more power than Honda claims.

Dyno tests are showing 120 hp or so at the wheels and real world testing of 8.5 seconds for 0-60 acceleration (and you have to shift to 3rd just before 60 mph) This motor puts down more power to the wheels than the Civic's R18.

And when you aren't zooming down the on ramp you can set the cruise, put it in ECO mode and get mid 40 MPG's at 65 mph

CR-Z > the rest

I've driven one and I loved it. Yeah it could use a little more power but I wasn't complaining about it while driving. The Mini's design is so outdated and I can't stand how the speedo and such is in the middle of the dash.

Kind of disappointed the Veloster didn't deliver to expectations. Saw one on the road the other day and it looked great. Echoing their sentiments, but it sure looked like it packed some serious road handling characteristics.

Nice comparo. The Beetle in 3rd?! They forgot to mention that it's a chick car, still. For that reason alone it should have been 5th at best. I haven't driven any of these cars but on looks alone I'd go for the CR-Z or Veloster. Scratch that.... the Veloster. I mean, have you seen one of these things on the road? They were right about the head turning part. Pretty cool looking car. It's a few mods away from being a great car.

I driven most of those and can agree with the article.

Fiat is poop, hated driving that lifeless thing.

If I ran MT, I'd have waited until the 500 Abarth and Veloster Turbo came out.

Why? These all seem to be the non sporty models. They can do a comparison of all the hot versions another time.
