Turned a new leaf...
I want to say that I have found this to be the best car forums on the internet.
Every single issue or thing I had to/wanted to do to my 2G TL was in here.
I learned how to do things I would have never normall attempted to do. Used these forums to pick out headers, intake, springs, and other mods.
I ended up with what I thought was one of the best looking simple 2G's id ever seen, as well as the fastest(13.8 lowest slip I could find, but I've hit 13.3 on borrowed tires and gutted) NA, non 6 SP swapped TL I've seen or come across.
Sadly I sold it about 2 years ago to buy the family a 2014 Quest for our expanding family.
I took over my wifes car and subsequently crashed it.
I wanted to find a commuter for under 2k and still have reasonable amount of fun with it. I talked down a guy on Craigslist that had a 1998 Infiniti I30T to $1200 and I really couldn't turn that deal down even though I could have found a decent 2DR Legend V6 for under 2k.
My question is:
Where in the HELL do I find a community as helpful as this?
I've been up and down maxima.org, nicoclub.com and haven't found them to contain 10% of the knowledge or help as these forums.
The only part that is great on there is some walk-throughs on common services and maintenance. Nothing really on performance.
Any suggestions are appreciated.

Best to check in at the Car Talk forum, as some members had I30s.
You might try the Z-car forums for VQ mods, BTW, but they are mounted transversely in the I30/Maxima, IIRC.
G/L.
Fresh Alloy has a good board for Infiniti vehicles. Thought you'll probably need to dig up old threads for the I30T, or just look at the 1998 Nissan Maxima threads as they are basically the same thing

I agree that Maxima.org isn't the best place, at least compared to here, but I have found some good information. The 1998 I30 you have is the A32 (My 2000 is an A33) so any information for you would be in the 4th Generation Maxima sub forum there, where I see a lot of people frequently posting. NicoClub doesn't really have a strong Maxima owner presence so I rarely post there. Just steer clear of 'tigersharkdude' on there. He's an ass.
