Installed a vice today. The table I bought last month is too nice to drill into so I went to Home Depot today and got 4x8 sheet of red oak, had it cut to the 60x42 I needed & used the rest to double up where the vice went & a back piece.
It is 100% more vice than I need (don't really need one at all) I needed something better than the cheap clamp on I had to put the aluminum jaws I got to build my AN fuel lines and when I went down the vise rabbit hole I found a decent one like this was only 40 bucks more than the shitty ones so for 120 have more vice than I'll ever need & will be able to use it someday in my shop of dreams.
Speaking of Rabbit Holes, anyone watching Keefer's new show of that name, pretty darn good IMHO.
It gets the job done, but there's something much more satisfying about cleaning with the sprayway...the way it mists and then foams really feels like it's doing something.
It all used to be in the drawers/box top area. Now it's all visible, I have a huge work area & now I have a real vise.
Also,
My Autel will be a year old soon so it's update sub is dying, our newest car is a '21 so I don't need to spend 150 bucks for a new year sub. The f00ker has been saving to a USB since Friday afternoon.

Built an AN6 hose, got 99% of the fittings & installed it (missing an 8AN to 6AN fitting coming tomorrow) moved the block off to the outside, and the feed to the back.
Installed the fittings to finish the install of the 6AN hose, it looks pretty good, I might install the prefab line I ordered when it comes Monday for peace of mind.
