My guess is it was used to mount an aftermarket armrest.

I just have to say the speed at which to accomplish projects is astounding to me. I can't even build a few shelves in the time it takes you to install a supercharger lol.

Looks good! I'm sure the AZ heat will make quick work of some of those dents in the leather.

Agreed, that went quite quickly.
But, we haven't had a weather report in a long time

If I can snag a fully remote job somehow I'd probably try and buy a place down south or in CO or something for the winter. For sure when I retire.

I think I'd go if I were 100% remote.
The brief time we were forced into it, I got pretty stir crazy, but I was also homeschooling [virtual school] 2 kids & trying to work at the same time.

This happened today.
I'm blowing oil from the bottom of the dipstick tube & it's hitting the cat & looked like burning oil, scared me before I verified that was what is happening.

Looks like I blew a cylinder.
Did a compression test and am 10 to 15 lbs lower than before the SC ( was 188-195) on the still good cylinders (175-185) but have 125 on 3. Oil on top of most pistons 3 is the worst.
Also,

I'm still scratching my head at this. There's no way 5.5psi hurt a cylinder this quickly on an M52, unless there was an underlying issue.

Another oddity, no blue smoke until temp is at 1/4.
Here are the plugs. (in for under 300 miles).
My Z3 M52 has 151k, it had 187.5-195 before SC, now it has 185-175 with 125 in #3 and is burning prodigious amounts of oil
The odd things are no noticeable loss of power & it is not burning until the temp gauge hits 1/4 (it sits at 1/2)
The blue smoke is worst at throttle, there is none when letting off the throttle at speed.
Any help is greatly appreciat
