Back seat monitor cleared customs & left L.A.
I meant to post the above a few hours ago. lol
Shocks came, the Bilsteins have a pair of spacers that are a hassle to deal with and show me the shocks are not specific to the Sequoia. These Dobinsons, don't have that. I like that!
I have needed to organize my sockets & ratchets for a while so I got these magnetic holders. I had 150 credit at Snapon so got 5 new sockets (really)??? and had no room left to store them soooo...
The 5 lying down are the new ones. Crazy how much things are overall but especially at Snapon.
I like those socket trays.
I ended up with some that have little sticks that the sockets drop onto & getting the ones in the back of the drawer requires tilting the tray a bit.

Curious to get your impressions on the rear entertainment system (RES)
Finding a RES equipped Expedition is hen's teeth around here, not nearly as common as it is in the Suburban/Yukon XL lines.
Does it tie into the car audio, bluetooth? Could see adding something like this to the MiniBus for the long trips, instead of the 2 handheld players we currently have.
There are a slew of options. For me, this is for the back seat only, the 2013 DVD system has a 12" screen, only plays regular DVDs & only worked through the ancient Toyota ir headsets. There are Android models that have all the available Google Play apps for 1-200 more (4-500) they all come from 11-19" There was a sale last week on the Roku stick I got for under 50 a few weeks ago that is behind the HU & I like it. It was under 30. I figured everything I want is available in Roku so decided to get this one for under 300 with 4 headsets.
I have only taken one headset out of the box & just powered this up to see it does that, next is removing the OEM system, finding the door open wires in the ceiling & wiring this up. I also have a USB power supply( the Roku needs it) so I have the unit's USB available for media. It also accepts an SD card so I'll play with putting movies on one of those, I'm hoping it will accept a 256gb cars I have lying around.
It so far seems acceptable although semi-cheap but I knew that based on the price & that it came from Hong King. I'll post my observations once it's in.
Yeah, if I could find a decent RES that can play from a USB or external HDD that would be great.
OE audio integration would be really nice, to be able to use the car speakers instead of headphones. Youngest is 2, so headphones wouldn't last long with her.
When we took my dad's Denali to FL, we pointed the rear facing mirror (used so we can see her in the center rearview) at the DVD screen, so she could watch the movies too.
Paired a headset, works fine, it will output to FM so you can play it's content through the speakers. It does not have audio out RCAs, only in. That seems to be a missing feature of many of these units.
I get it Snap ON prices are insane. They do no questions replacement, I have their ratcheting screwdrivers, they were 100 or so back in the day, they fail (rarely) I call, say it failed they say what's the model id & your address. No proof of purchase or anything.
I've been lucky & have only broken 2 socket-related tools that I can remember.
Split a cheap 10mm 12 point
Broke the socket attachment end of a 1/2" breaker bar trying to break loose the flywheel nut from a 13B. Craftsman, warranty replaced at HD (or maybe Lowes, I don't recall). Ended up needing to buy a 3/4" breaker, and use the pipe off my floor jack to get enough leverage to break it loose, leaning on it with both feet off the ground & had to bounce a couple times to get it to pop.
I have an inverter that has been under the hood for a while, I have collected the parts to bring it inside & install plugs in the truck.
I have 3 3rd gen OEM plugs & 3 Amazon plugs. I like the OEM plugs but their connectors on the back are oddball so I need to figure out how to use them.
Another way to have the sound through the head unit, play the same program on both ROKUS
Both running on my old ATT Netgear router on T-Mobile who wanted 30 a month for 10GB & 40 for 15. I added an unlimited (100GB prior to throttling) phone for 35 AND IT'S A PHONE! lol
Another reason to hold on to things even though it's been in a drawer for years since I left ATT
But the eBay seller screwed me so I found a used one for 130 and had to buy the external antenna for 35 on its own. coming from Canada supposedly today but tracking has it leaving Memphis late Monday so I doubt it.
Possible great news, these are available locally online, the seller is less than 10 miles from me, and says he will accept 450. The odd thing is he posted them yesterday and is out of town. He agreed to meet Monday but it seems odd to post something & leave town.

Seller contacted me at 5:30 yesterday saying I'm here others want the running boards do you still want them? I said I do and have the cash but can't come now.
He said he works an hour+ away 8-5 so won't be home until 6:30 tonight, which is late for me and I'm feeling odd. He also reiterated cash only (after I said I had the cash) What do you guys think?
I got them! There was a bit of drama, he didn't message me when he should have been at the gas station so I messaged it would take me 5 minutes to get there, he said he was helping hs son with homework, I had been waiting to get a prescription and said so, said I can come to the intersection he said he lived near and he gave me his address. I drove the 11 miles & they are mine!
