I am getting ready to purchase a new truck for work, what should I get???
I didn't include Dodge or Nissan because they are not an option for me...


Ford F150 (crew cab)
Toyota Tundra (double cab)
Chevy Avalanche

shame nissan isnt an option beause i think the Titan is the badass of the large truck category.

possibly Toyota then, I hate ford....but since its a truck i might check them out.

 

I heard good reviews on the Tundra but even better for the Nissan Titan...

That is what Joe is planning to get once he graduates grad school. He's looking at the Tundra's too. I vote for the Tundra because its a four door and that is so much better.

 

Nissan Titan is bad ass. Best bang for the buck and if looks don't do it for you, make it it look better!

This is one of the best looking trucks I've ever seen. The interior dash needs some changes, but the saddle leather makes it worth every penny.

Ford does a work truck model that has the interior that you can wash out easier with no carpet or anything. This would probably help with the mud you'll likely get from the landscape business.

 

All of my equipment is in an enclosed trailer... besides, that is why I have employees to the dirty work. It will be pimp once a set of 22's, dvd & etc go onto it....

 

are they still making the F 150 harley davidson edition or?

Yes, they are. In 2005 you can now get the solid black version, never before offered. They now have dark red flames as an option as well, something that actually looks decent.

My friend owns a 2004 deisel, very nice truck to pull a trailer and everything.

If this weren't a work truck I'd recommend one of these, and get the backup sensors.

Personally, that'd be a tough decision for me. I LOVE the new F150, but the tundra is a solid truck. I also really really like the titan. If that's an option that'd be my choice I think.

 

buy the toyota. my dad has a 03 tundra limited with a daystar lift kit in it, it raised the truck a little but is enough. some type of extra spring on the back on the leaf spring where you can widen it out to carry more weight and actually helps the truck handle bettter. 18' bbs rims and bridgestone tires, tunnel cover and it has tint, and the greates thing ever -- basani duel exhaust. the truck is really sweet. he hates me driving it though.

get the tundra and if you don't think it has enough power just put the money down and get a TRD supercharger for it. then it will have more power then the dodge hemi and i have been in one of the tundras with a supercharger on it and it is so fast it's not even funny.

Chevy Silverado.

Not the SS though. Just a normal 1500, 2500, or 3500. Whichever you need. The diesel is pretty sick as well.

 

Hands down the Titan. I know it doesnt appeal to you but if you cave into our peer pressure and at least go check it out, you'll change your mind

I have an 04 F-150, I love it. Very quiet and smooth, almost like a big car. I may be biased, but out of all the trucks you listed, the F-150 is the best, IMO.

 

Tough call between the F150 or Titan, I like the F150 cause it has the best interior of any truck and rides like a car but it lacks the power of the Titan.

I have a 02 tundra 4x4 and I wish I would have waited a couple years to trade and got the titan. I drove my buddy's new 4x4 double cab Titan . WOW tons of power. decent ride. everything felt solid. don't get me wrong I like my tundra. but the tundra is less than the titan. BTW: i was with him once we were messing around this new F-150(04 or 05) pulled up on us i noticed it said 5.4 on the F-150 badge. and the guy was 25-30. I said over to the dude in the F-150 that thing pretty fast. he yells faster than your P.O.S.(DAMN DAVE WAS PISSED) i heard Dave rev his 5.6 and the dude in his Ford reved his 5.4 .DAVE SLAUGHTER HIM, for them rating the 5.4 Ford the same as the 5.6 Titan motor it's the world of diffence. and the thing is I looked at the dude's truck later he didn't have anything in the bed. didn't have a tool box. if anything Dave should have lost because he had a passenger(me) in the truck. and the Ford was running with just the driver.but the power on that Titan is UNREAL
