Trading for 2002 Honda Integra Type R (my 2005 TL)

Trading for 2002 Honda Integra Type R

You guys think I'm going to regret it, thinking of getting rid of the TL and getting this?

Only big concern is how this car CANT be my daily driver (paranoid about theft issues and such)

Thanks guys and sorry Mods for putting this in the wrong section. and yes this is a real type R and shouldn't have any problem keeping up and beating a type -s manual. (seen times of 13.8) but very few quarter mile run times i've seen for this car so not sure if this is on the High End or Low end of whats expected.

While it would be a neat car to have, I wouldn't want it as a DD

Where are you located?

I didn't think this car was sold in the US.

Be very careful that all the registration paperwork is 100% in order before transacting any business.

A real type-r is hard to come by so i say do it, but make sure you have a garage to keep it in or say bye bye....

I dunno man, as a 26 year old myself, I'm not too sure I'd feel secure in trading in a TL for that. Sure, it's fast and somewhat rare here, but...

what TL do you have? just looking at surface specs on wikipedia
The Honda Integra Type R, sold in Japan, Australia, and some other markets, has reduced weight, a 220 PS / 164 kW / 217 hp (162 kW) K20A engine (Japan-only; Oceania models have an engine similar to the Acura RSX-S), as well as a limited slip differential (LSD) and stiffer springs and shocks, 4 piston Brembo brakes, 17" wheels on Bridgestone Potenza tires, Recaro suede seats, body trim, and more. The IIHS did not rate the RSX.
looks pretty darn good.

itr: 11.6 lbs/hp
tl: 14.0 lbs/hp
tls: 12.6 lbs/hp

take the itr and run.. and get a cheapy beater.. you will not be disappointed with that rare of a car

I'm 19..... I would trade it and wouldn't look back. Then I would put in one of those hide-away lifts in a tall-ceiling garage and park it underground. Then I would hire armed security guards to be on duty 24/7

Not too crazy on the (Mugen?) wing, and whatever hood that is but those MF-10s are

In the end though I'd probably take an S2000 even though you didn't ask.... nothing beats top down driving. What I'd give to flog that ITR though...

are you going to take it to the track? (not quarter mile track)

If you are then you will LOVE every min of it.

If you are only using it for DD.. then what is the point having a TYPE R??? a regular RSX will do just fine.

If you're single, don't have kids or don't have to drive people around in your car, then I would do it hands down. If something as rare as this came along why not? There's always going to be TLs available but how often do you come by a genuine Type R? DO IT!!!

Nope, but one of them has around 300whp? with fully upgraded suspension/roll cage etc...Would probably put a Type R to shame aside from the rarity of it. Its deff a fun car, but i'd get sick of driving it everyday. Wouldn't mind having one to fuck around in though...
