Traded in the CL....
Traded in the CL....
And got a 2001 Volvo S60 2.4T..
Nice car, MUCH better inside than the acura. Less power (makes 195 hp, 210 tq), but still a good find for $13K.
Let the modding begin!!
(Gonna upgrade the turbo and ECU to the T5 edition, lowering springs and shocks, needs tint real bad, and adding the sub to the OEM stereo)

Good luck with it though. Hopefully it won't be a pain for you

the new volvos look legit but i can never see myself driving a volvo...to me a volvo is an old family car specifically made for white upperclass peckerwoods to pick up thier little children from private school
my friend had a 95 volvo, and teh fucking transmission ate it and the bumper fell of at the same time

Sounds like you made the best of a bad situation. Did you get the tranny fixed before you traded the CL in ??
I've alway thought the old volvos were indestrutable. Seems alot of the old station wagons last awhile, and usually have the college stickers in the rear window (parents gave the car to kids). The Volvo station wagons seemed to be real popular with touring dead heads (who aren't know for keeping up with maintenance).

Funny thing is the guy who took it in told me how immaculate the drivetrain had been taken care of....

I spend a lot of time in Princeton, NJ and Volvos seem to be the #1 car of that town and Half of them sport 'Princeton Univ' and/or 'Kerry 04' stickers on the rear bumper
. My parents have an 01 V70 XC Cross Country sans le 'Kerry/Edwards 04' sticker (though they voted that way
). It's a very nice car that feels like a tank. I'm certain my 02 Maxima would get the worst of a collision with that thing.
The only Volvo I'd personally get would be the S60R, V70R or that 625hp XC90 displayed at the 2005 NYIAS.

225hp and 217lb ft for the CL-P/TL-P.
