Trade '08 accord v6 sedan for '09 Genesis sedan 3.8 tech?
I am possibly going to trade my 08 honda accord 3.5l v6 exL with navi, leather, sunroof and bluetooth for a 09 hyundai genesis sedan 3.8 tech.
I have loved this car since it came out. It is very reliable but I am wondering peoples thoughts. It is currently selling for $25,999 but I would only pay $22,999 otherwise I ain't buying it. Any opinions?
I am also worried as I live in canada and this car is REAR WHEEL DRIVE. We get really cold ass winters and snowy, icy etc...
holler at me guys!

snow tires would solve that problem. Gennys seem to sell regardless of the weather in Canada. Is the Accord paid for?
I think I'd do it if it was a 4.6L or an R-Spec, a 3.8 doesn't seem like a huge leap if you're coming from an AV6 EX-L...

I figured. I'm thankful that even though the G35/37s are becoming affordable used it's not the same crowd buying them as the 3G TLs lol.

I would get the Genesis...
Only issue I'd see is it probably won't hold it's value as well AND IMO, the Hyundais look really cutting edge for about 2 years then the style looks old. Maybe too many redesigns...even the original genesis looks outdated already.

The Genesis is a nice enough car (I'm driving a 4.6 right now), but don't expect it to be a high performer handling-wise. It rides more like a Lexus than a BMW.

Maybe I need to be a little more clear. The reason why I said you sound like an ass is because you made a dumbass statement. CLtotheTL32 said Dave was a previous TL owner. From that you made your statement about the price of TL's coming down allowing a certain crowd to purchase it. What the hell does that have to do with the OP if he is a "previous" owner?

Im New to this site but
I have owned 99 Acura CL 3.0 coupe , I bought it new with 178 miles on it, 12 years later I only have 104,278 mile on it, and I have never had any major problems with it except the recall on transmission replaced for free thru Acura Dealeship. Since Acura is made by Honda everyone know they are very reliable, as for the Genisis, I would read user / owner reveiws to see what they think since they own the Genisis. I have been thinking about buying the Genisis Coupe as a every day driver car and keeping my 99 CL as a secondary car since they were only made for 3 years on that body style, which is the best looking I think. Defently do you homework before giving up a Honda.

of course, is this even a question.
Faster, better, luxurious..YES RWD may be a bitch in the snow, but nothing that a good set of winter tires won't fix (as you would have to replace for your accord anyways)

Eh, I sort of agree J. I just hate how they made the Coupe so damn big and bulky.

I own a Hyundai and even as a fan of Hyundai in general I didnt like the 2011 Genesis 3.8 I rented for one day. The steering even by Hyundai's less than stellar rep is way. Its just not ready for prime time if you like handling. Unless its the R Spec forget it. And body roll is bad.

I don't think OP would be driving an Accord and looking at a Genesis if his primary concern was handling

Don't get me wrong, I REALLY like the Accord Coupe, but it's unnecessarily huge compared to the last generation.

I also find that the chassis of the 8G doesnt communicate much at all compared to the 7G.
I used to really like the 8G coupe, but I guess it just didnt age well
