I think anyone who is signed up with the audi club can run with us. We had different cars there... lotus, porsche and a rented impala

The impala proved the saying "there are fast drivers not fast cars"

is your camber off? or maybe its just a result of the angle and speed you are moving at

Don't tell me you got passed by an Impala

Let me know when the next track event you are attending and I will try and make it out. My pops just got a 545i, which is leased, maybe I will bring that.

Naw the impala was in a different group but it was passing S4s and such. The driver was really good, but drove the shit out of the car.

I plan to do Blackhawk farms, but thats not till like Aug.

Sweet

If you're waiting till Aug. it doesn't sound like you're addicted yet

The 944 is probably a track junkie... Those guys will run with any club as long as there is track time involved... Ray Khan was telling me that the Masshole Audi club will let other makes run as long as they pay the dues and track fees...

I have to pace myself. I plan to do the one in blackhawk in Aug and autobahn in October. These events arent that cheap.

944 actually works for an audi dealer that was a sponsor.. so im sure that why he ran with us.

What kills me is that I am busy basically every weekend during from lab later April till mid September. I might join you for the Autobahn event in October, if I have race tires by then and they come out with some decent track pads for my car. Plus I need a new helmet. Expensive sport; made me feel really poor the last time I was there.

How did your car perform on the track? What tires did you run? I bet it understeered a lot??

I have never done an organized event. I have been thinking about signing up for an SVTOA event at Autobahn in a few weeks. My friend is an instructor there and wants me to take my Mustang out. The times I have went to the track, it was at Gingerman and Bondurant(once). My friend rents out the track to test his race cars, so I tag along. I went last year and basically ran non-stop from 3-8 pm. The brakes and tires on the Bimmer were totally shot at the end of the day. Good thing it was a lease
