Thanks but the pics make it look better than it really is. Its far from mint and needs a good amount of work to get there. I have a huge list of small things that need to get done. But wont happen anytime soon.
I hear ya. We almost castrated a local club member that dropped an LS6 into his Foxbody stang.

Found the car on cars.com, it was about 40 miles away so not too bad.

Car isnt in that great of shape. I found rust in a few places but not bad considering its been in the midwest all its life.

Its a 1988 and back then it went for $45,000 new. Pretty pricey for that time.

No manual here. Not many had them in the 88-89 635csi.

Look its a Dingolfing! Anyone get the reference?

Nice E24, you will have a very cool car when you get the kinks worked out and for 4k it is worth working them out.

Refresh my memory does it have the S38 engine?

In its time it was probably in the 10 fastest cars in the US.

As far as the LSx engine...bah, if an engine swap is in order then the S85 is what it is begging for!!!!! Actually that would be perfect and if you kept the center firing exhaust it would sound steller. Plus with some engineering you could probably get the auto shift lever to work the SMG with some stealthly buttons on the steering wheel to manage gear shifts, and though I am not a SMG fan the all stock look with all those ponies and 7 gears would be a riot.

When when I first saw this I was thinking a test drive in a new one. I had no idea you had that car but looks really nice and it appears to be in GREAT shape. I really like the gray ones rims too.

Its actually a "company" car. The silver one that is.

The black one is a friends, his is in way better shape than mine. He has the original leather dash that has no cracks! Now thats impressive.

Mother of all German Coupes. So much more beautiful than the actual current 6-series.

Always loved the 5-series (pre-1994), 6-series (pre-8 series) and its 3.0 Csi predecessors, but the late-80's 6 and Ms are the best looking BMWs made to date.

BMW should bring back the 8 series but make it look like an updated version of the one you just posted

I would give up my first born child for an 8 series, ugh!

A good friend of mine's Dad had one. He took me for a ride in it once and even after 15 years, the performance was unreal. What a car!
