You familiar with UK mod, Jin? It sounds perfect and is stock looking (obviously)

JS + XES 09-08-2015 02:18 PM

Hmmm, not really! My S2K friends all go lightweight catback!

Yeah, you actually need to know how to drive it properly to add more power. You don't need more power to go fast in the S2Ks. With a few tweaks in the suspension/aero mods, it becomes a hardcore machine. The driver mod is most definitely required though.

The new engine is fantastic! Of course there isn't quite as much noise now that the stock intake is installed, but I'm not heartbroken over it. That just means that it's time for catback

Edit: YouTube video, y u no embed?!

Didn't you have a track incident.. or was that someone else.. :ponder:

I would have kept the intake and just been careful around water.. you know.. don't drive through it, don't start car in it, etc. :bitelip:

also..

shit man, with a stock S2k it gets downright scary even when you push it in the dry. I cannot even imagine adding more power to this thing. Driving in the wet, there's always a pucker factor with the S2k which is why rain is Jeep weather. There's a lot of people that ride in mine thinking "oh, only 240hp at the top end? My (insert mediocre car here) has more power than that" only to be screaming in fear 2 minutes later. I think the noise and drama of the little 4 banger is half of what makes people freak out.

I know for a fact that the slowest component in the car is me and until that gets upgraded, there's no use in changing any go fast part.

Tyler. I do plead that you do the 38MM 1.5" UK mod before you spend the money on an exhaust. You'll see.

Link to sound sample? I kinda want more sound out of my exhaust. And make it have a deeper tone.

CLtotheTL32 09-08-2015 04:05 PM

I have no idea what the UK mod is, J. However, I do know what noises your 38mm makes :mizouse:

Maj, no track incidents with this penguin, or ANY penguin :O

That's why even after 8 track days, I haven't added any engine mods. I can make pretty much make anyone shit their pants in my 150lb of torque monster. :D

I'll have to plan another track day with you soon, just need to find the time & money to shell out for a new set of summer tires.

My V12 Evo2s aren't quite done yet :tomato:

Anytime, Tyler. I'm planning to organize a track day event with my canyon run group once every month from September. Just let me know whenever. I'll send out the event invite on FB.

I think you will love the Streets of Willow. We should go there!

It's times like this I wish I lived in Cali...

Then I remember I have all the water I want and my cost of living is low.

My opinion will change in about 2 months though.

Maybe I'm just being a pansy, but it's 102 right now and we're not even at the hottest part of the afternoon. :yuck:

lol

hot, humid, tons of mosquitoes, tons of old people, hurricanes, hillbillies, obnoxious rich people, etc.

I can deal with winter in exchange for none of that. Pass.

Weather here is awesome for 6 months of the year. If you can deal with the other 6 months, you can avoid all the negatives.

You also failed to mention any of the positives.

One thing you cannot escape ... is the humidity. :ugh:

rockstar143 09-10-2015 07:24 AM

LOL...that's definitely not true. Nowhere here does not have AC. So you might feel it on your walk to the car from a store...other than that, you really don't deal with it unless you choose to.

CLtotheTL32 09-10-2015 08:12 AM

It's definitely nice seeing more ass during this hot weather. Warmer weather = less clothing. :flash: :moon:

rockstar143 09-10-2015 01:30 PM

Not gonna lie...
I need to spend the last part of my life smoking spliffs somewhere from Monterrey or South on a cliff overlooking the sun setting over the Pacific.
