I got a scholarship for S.U.N.Y also but made the mistake to grab a nice car. But its for now

Same thing with UNCP. I basically met the requirements for a full ride but I didnt bother applying.

I had no desire to go to that school. No majors I was interested in and its very low in the rankings. What good is a free ride if it doesnt pay off? Just not a good school.

UT Arlington is by no means bad. The business college has the same level of certification that UT Austin does...its just not quite up there in the rankings like UT Austin.

I think I actually may just stay for my undergrad, and then really had and try to get into the University of Michigan or Chicago or something along those lines. Maybe NYU or MIT if I'm feelin really lucky. lol

I find it interesting that aside from the OP, 2 of the more vocal guys on this thread are 18 and 19 and which side of the arguement they are on.

 

If I were blazing gt, I would change my avatar, change my signature and vanish for a month and come back normal and people would probably forget about this disaster.

 

I might be 19 and yeah I did get help from my parents with my car but I payed for a lot as well, and I have always payed for my gas. I plan on driving it for a long time. I guess I just dont understand having buying a brand new REALLY nice car and wanting to trade it.

 

I can't say I paid for it because I didn't. My parents traded in their SUV they didn't use anymore so I could get a car, but I do pay for gas. And I'm with him. I plan on having my car for a long time. Cars depreciate too much...why trade in every second?? Especially a really nice car.

On topic, i'd keep the RL, lower it and swap the wheels. It has too much wheel gap and the wheels are ugly...thats $3 grand right there, should take you a couple months. Post back with results.

Trading in a week old car is a bad financial decision? Your parents must be proud to have raised such a bright child.

The OP obviously knows its a bad decision, and he obviously has his heart set on a sports car. Its not like hes trying to get a M3 or something...everyone and their mom has a G/Z. I wouldn't even consider either of them a "sports car"...well, mabye the 350Z...maybe. If he takes a loss on it, who the fuck cares....its not my money.

 

Then he should've gotten a sports car in the first place.
