Hell, I'm man enough to admit I was spoilt. I was a great student, had great parents, they helped me a lot. But they taught me the value of money. I would never consider trading in a car they helped me with to get something sportier unless it was 100% on my dime.

well my mom knew i always wanted a nice car...so as a gift she was going to help establish my credit and put me in nice car. The deal was for me to pay for the car. and the insurance>>If anything she would have made a monthly payment...<<that was never an issue. I was 18 when i got teh TL. She told me i deserved it. From all the good grades i got in school. Never ONE problem through out school. I even worked through out highschool.

 

1. So what happened to the whole "I pay for everything" rant?

2. I don't understand how the car is a gift, and you have to pay for it?

3. Just out of curiousity, which fine higher education institute gave you a scholarship?

So, she paid for the car. That doesn't help build your credit. The loan is in her name. It doesn't matter who makes the payments. And you are thinking of taking the GIFT your mom gave you and getting another car, that she will have to get a loan on since you don't have the credit. You have any idea how inconsiderate that sounds. Maybe they should continue the beatings.

Talk to your mom and see if she is HONESTLY OK with you doing this.
