Thanks all!
It's a surreal feeling and the car is freaking intimidating to drive to be completely honest. The last manual I drove was 10 years ago and it was a Civic SI, which is just a wee bit different. The clutch is taking some getting used to, but I'm already getting smoother with my shifts. The exhaust is intoxicating...I would have bought it with no radio and been just as happy. It's two settings are 1. Loud (normal) 2. Obnoxious (sport) and I haven't left sport mode much.
I had 2 previous deals fall apart before I pulled the trigger on this one in Jersey. Shadow Black wasn't my first choice, but finding them local at a decent price was a chore. So I found this one and quickly made a deal, put $500 deposit to hold it and picked it up today. Got it for little bit under MSRP, which I was happy with.
With two young kids (5 & 2) it's obviously not the most practical vehicle in the world. My commute is literally 2 miles to the train station and then a few more to daycare to get the boys. When it snows I work from home and if I need to I can take my wifes JGC Overland. So if I was going to get something new, I wanted to pay a little bit more for something I really wanted. Now if wifey and I decide to have #3 in the next couple of years - I may have to figure something else out. But in the meantime I'm going to have fun driving it.
I'm no photographer, but I'll snap some more pics and post up. I will say the Recaro seats are amazing! Though it was hot today and it would've been nice to have the cooled seats. I could definitely see how if you were a big guy, the side bolsters might dig into your legs...but they fit me perfect. I'm still getting used to everything as its night and day different than the TL, I already installed the 2 baby seats in the back and we all went for a ride and surprisingly there was more than enough room...not Toyota Avalon room, but not not bad at all. The bad MPG will take some getting used to.

Glad to hear your family is enjoying the car !!!
No no matter how much money I spend on cars, my kids always want to go in the sports cars
dont worry about the MPG. The memories the kids are making now with you in this car will be forever cherished and every OPEC dollar will be well spent !

Yup, wanted Lightning Blue with white stripes and came really close but the dealer basically used me to leverage more money from someone else. I was really bummed, but it worked out in the end.

A glorious time to me a car guy. I just picked up a Scatpack Charger and it is truly amazing what these a
cars are capable of..... running mid 13's in my Fox body mustangs was exhilarating.
Driving these types of cars cars on the street is just mind bending. Especially knowing your kids are enjoying it as much as you are.
BEAUTIFUL!

Wow wow, very sick and mean looking car! Certainly a HUGE power and performance change from the TL. Keep those pics coming and the experience as well.
Looks like lot of ex-TL/Acura guys are moving to big American power...Dodge, Cadillac, Ford, etc....

It is glorious, not gonna lie. Surprises me still every time I start her up.
Depends where you are. First and foremost I wanted to try and find one local...working full time, 2 kids, and being on opposite schedules as my wife. I didn't really have time to drive further than 2-3 hours away. It's funny but many dealers advertised the price at or under MSRP. After I called several of them said it was a mistake and was in fact $2-5k over. So I skipped those and kept looking until I found one at MSRP and negotiated from there. But you can find them at or under MSRP if you're patient.
Kids LOVE riding in it! My 2 year old puts his hands in the air as if he's riding a roller coaster.
Congrats on your new pick as well! I did see you upgraded from the Accord (which was really nice too BTW). Originally I wanted an SRT8 JGC, but couldn't find one decently priced with low mileage. If things didn't work out with the GT350, I was definitely going to look into the Chargers
Thanks for the kind words man. I can't speak for the other guys, but I wanted something completely different than the TL. My 3G was still nice to look at, but after so many years I wanted something fun to drive. And with this car I look for reasons to get behind the wheel and just go cruise.

And with a car like that you'll have a hard time NOT finding a reason to go for a cruise!

Haha, for sure. With these high HP cars that many are getting, one definitely need to at least think with their sensible/financial brain as well.
I was driving a rental Wrangler a couple weeks ago and averaged about 18mpg and definitely the often fillup was quite annoying to the mind and to the wallet....

Do you guys have Giant Grocery stores in FL? By shopping there I save a ton on gas by also going to their gas stations. I just filled up today and got $1.20 off per gallon on premium. Not a cure all, but definitely helps.

Unfortunately we spend a ton on groceries every friggin week
Yeah, I hear you about the MPG. I might feel the same a few months from now. But I also now understand the "smiles per gallon" reference

Such a beast. Congrats! My buddy in canyon run group has a modified one. Following him in the canyon is just so amazing since the car sounds like a freaking airplane. Enjoy the car!

Thanks Aman! Yes, I'm going to give it a go though my commute to the train station and to pick my kids up at daycare isn't far. Originally the plan was to keep my TL for winter duty, but the dealer gave me a good offer for the trade, which I took and applied to the deal. I could always look at getting a beater for winter duty, but I never really took the TL out when the weather was questionable in previous years. I have the option to work from home during shitty weather and/or take my wife's Jeep if I need to on her off days.

The track package was made standard on the 2017's. So yes, mine includes everything that was previously optioned as the track package on the 2016's...such as MagneRide, transmission and differential coolers, and rear deck spoiler. It also has the Electronics Package, which has the navigation and Sync 3.
I could be wrong, but I think the real world MSRP difference between the two is like within $10-$12k. However, the R's are marked up at insane prices. Much less of those around and I've seen some in the six figures
