The TL needed new tires...
Just traded in my beloved 2005 TL for a 2014 Ford Fusion Titanium last night after months of consideration. The TL needed only a few minor things done but I just have been itching to get into something different lately. Going from an 05 to a 14 is a huge jump in terms of technology and toys. The Fusion is pretty well loaded...Titanium is top trim, has 2.0 liter "EcoBoost" with gobs of power (feels quicker than my TL), 19" wheels, MyFord Touch, push to start, camera, adaptive cruise, collision warning, remote start, etc. Sticker came out to be a hair under $35,000. Ended up getting a pretty good deal on a 36 month lease and fair value for my trade.
Gone but never to be forgotten.

Color is called Dark Side. Looks like black most the time. In direct sun, it looks green/blue.

Massive key fob:

My giddy self taking delivery:

35% window tint all around is going on next week. It's a big change going from Honda to Ford, but I'm absolutely LOVING this car.

Congrats on the car. Absolutely stunning. I'm not sure you've had it enough to know, but in case you have, how's the fuel economy? I've read mixed reviews saying the ecoboost was overstated on the mpg? Either way, I'd love a sweet ride like that. Again, congrats

Congrats on your new ride. The platinum trim is very nice.
Looks like your TL had the much coveted 8.5" A-Spec rims on it. Too bad you had to trade those in. You could have sold them here on AZ.

Thanks everyone. I couldn't be happier with my choice. Not that there was anything bad about the Acura, but it feels amazing to drive a brand new car.
I've averaged 23.x since I've picked it up...mostly city driving. I've only put 100 miles on the car though, so I'll have to have more time to gather average MPG data.
I know...I felt guilty trading it in with the A-Specs but I don't have my stockies anymore.
Not to my knowledge.
Thanks Tyler! Yeah...I know...

There are quite a bit of buttons on it. I'm getting used to it.
Thanks guys!
Wow, congrats! Saw a couple around campus today and was marveling at how sharp they look, especially in a darker colour. Looks like they packed a lot of tech in there as well.

Congratulations, man...time for a new avatar, buddy!
Wife and I rented an ecoboost escape the weekend before last...flooring it here and there we managed and overall 24 mpg, and highway cruising was about 30. I think you made a good decision although you probably could have put a grand back in your pocket by parting the aspec kit/wheels to someone.

And yeah yeah I know. I really wouldn't have had time take the parts off and deal with selling them though. Work and school keep me so busy.

Thank you guys. I couldn't be happier with how the tint turned out.
Its a very neat feature. I can see myself using it if I go somewhere to run...I hate taking my keys with me so I could just lock them in the car.
And yeah 35% is certainly the way to go.
Word. I never thought my replacement for the TL would be a Ford. The car feels so european and refined...love it.

Very nice choice! For the money, I think that's one of the best looking, and well optioned, cars you can get. The tint goes perfect with the exterior color, without it being way too dark (I think my white car would look weird with any unless it was like 50% or something). But as for locking your keys in the car, wouldn't the car think you're in the area and still let you open the door if it has sensors on the handle?
