Tires.....General Exclaim UHP?
I have an 06 civic Si with 14K miles and my crappy a** MXM4 tires are starting to get a little low and I will get to ditch them before too long . I have been looking at tires for a while and I am leaning towards General Exclaim UHP

There are lots of miles of reviews stacked up on tire rack and they seem to be pretty good tires. I am in college so I do a mix of around town driving, and then I drive home 2 hours on the highway allot, so I need some that is versatile and I drive an si so I like to drive lol I was wondering if anyone has any personal experience with these tires or any other ideas?
Also does anyone know if these have rimguards built in?

had them on my 05 TL as well. Awesome tire, awesome price, decent tread wear. Cant go wrong for the money. Do a search with my user name and you will find the review. I did a pretty thorough one!

You guys aren't being very helpful to the community, these tires are absolute shit. In my experience, these are worse than Kumho ASXs...which are all seasons... and can only be compared with OEM all season tires. They squeal easily and are not for performance driving.

I gave to the community when I responded to your positive review of the tires. You drive a TL which already understeers and praise the Exclaims, which I don't understand. Since he's driving a Civic Si, he's probably looking for performance, and these don't deliver.
I don't browse Acurazine; a friend just alerted me that someone was asking about General Exclaims and I didn't want them to be another victim of groupthink.

'08 MX5 GT 6spd.
Excellent tread wear, they look good, and they are really cheap.
Only downside is the sidewalls are SUPER thin and they flew quite a bit when taking turns they def. flex.
Im on my 2nds set now, and will buy another set when these are done.

I have the Exclaim UHPs in 215/55/16, which is the stock size for the car I drive. I have tested Kumho ASX and Kumho SPTs (and other tires better than Kumho) with far better results. Exclaim UHPs have been driven at ranges of 30~37 psi. Haven't had a chance to test them in the wet, but it'll be tough beating the the Kumho SPT. Wanted to try something new but it'll be a while before these wear out...

Thanks for the responses. The only complaint I have heard about these on here and tire rack are that the sidewalls are thin and they cause some extra roll. It only seems to be a few people who say complain about that, but it seems to really turn them away from this tire, that is my main concern. Some people have said that if u just increase the pressure a little it will help, while others say it doesn't.
Money isn't a huge issue, cause my parents are paying for them, but I don't want to pay more than I need to. Also does anyone know if these have the rubber edges around the rim that protect it from scrapes? I do lots of parallel parking and I don't want to kill my rims

Umm, I really didnt have many problems with my Tl because I had a bigger rear sway bar which helped with the understeer. The stickier tires, compared to the OEM Michelin garbage also helped a lot.
