Tint Distortion...this normal?

Seeing this in my rear view at night is driving me insane. Just got 50% all around (i will admit it wasnt the highest quality tint/place) all the side windows came out perfect and the back looks great too but at night i see a shit ton of vertical distortion in the rear windshield. If theres like several cars behind me it makes the windshield pretty much useless.

Is this normal?

Would it be better if i took my car to a high end tint shop and had em just redo the rear window?

And if i used a dif brand tint would it look weird and out of place with my sides?

I painstakingly labored for hours in order to create this to show what it looked like but i googled tint distortion and found a good pic afterwards too =/

It could be that the tint just needs more time to cure/dry. Leave the car out in the sun for a few more days and it should take care of it.

Same here. I think its just the way the tint is sitting on the glass and the defroster lines. Give it some time to cure further and it should lessen.

i mean, they mentioned blurryness, and the blurryness went away after a few days, its not so much blurriness as it is this weird vertical light distortion over the defroster lines.

I guess ill just hope it cools out over the next week

Sorry, we would have responded earlier but we had scheduled today's BMW circle jerk for midnight. Glad someone was able to answer after we were done.

Give it some time and make sure you leave the car outside in the sun for a few days so it dries the tint onto the window

Time to step up and get rid of that POS Acura, OP. It's about time you stepped up and got a GTI or an M3.

*faps at the mere thought*

Odd. Mine definitely do not look like that Killer. Give it some more time. Did you park the car outside to let the heat cure the tint?

Wat? Maybe it's installation that contributes to vertical distortion rather than product? IDK I'm no tint expert.

Yeah, by that dood with the 550. But then Justin might get buyer's remorse for his tint and ask us if he's got "mental issues."

I've got Solar Gard on my car, my sisters' cars, and my dad's trucks. Excellent quality and no issues with blurriness, color change, etc. Local tint place in Modesto does great work with excellent prices.

I just had my tints (35%) done on monday May 31 and I have the same problem. The tint place I went to were highly recommended by a local car club.

I think it needs more time to dry just like others have said.
