Time to upgrade...opinions?
IMO, you have a car that you can put 200,000 miles on right now. That becomes the PERFECT daily driver for the next 10 years if you take care of it.
Pay it off then get the toy. That way, you are saving money while you're out trollin' for fatties because at some point you're going to meet a chick and she's gonna ruin your life by wanting to get married and have babies.
So that way, you're saving yourself from the pain of having to sell your toy for a used Caravan. And if not then you're able to pay cash for the second car and at that point it won't matter what she wants because you'll own both cars outright.
Just sayin'

hahahahahaha. True story, but that's "if" I ever meet a girl. Not really on the top of my list of priorities at the moment but I hear ya. Yeah I know the TL can easily hit 200, honestly I don't doubt it hitting 400k but heres the issue. I get bored extremely quickly with a car I drive everyday. Not only that but the biggest issue I'm having now that I've owned a nice luxury car I don't want to lose all the nice stuff
. STi was great for power and grip, hell I put that thing sideways more than my S2000 but in terms of build quality...I rather drive a Kia Forte lol. That being said, I won't keep this car till 200k, I doubt I'll have it before it even hits 90k I'm just scoping out what there is.
Yeah man I'm not hating because when I was your age I was driving a midnight red RX-7 and trying to nail as many chicks as I could. Life is short and you definitely want to get your "toys" when you're still a bachelor. As long as you are saving some of your income for the future, you will be OK

haha, regardless it was still a blast. Sounded like tits too.
lmao. Yeah man I'm definately putting away in the bank every year but I want to enjoy life. Btw, I had the chance to drive a 911 Carrera S. Car was great but it felt a little numb and a bit fluffy at higher speeds only to realize when I got back from the test drive that I never put the spoiler up, or the sport mode on

Sounded like tits too.I agree though it's like Porsche is trying to make the 911 more like a GT than a hardcore sports car but at the end of the day they are like any other automotive company trying to make $$. I was looking into upgrading to the 991 when it comes out in late 2011 as a 2012 model but if it's super cushy like the Panamera then forget about it.
LOL yeah man activate PASM next time and you definitely feel the increased throttle and suspension responsiveness.

QFT. I'd be rocking a GT3 but need more comfort as a DD and also a car that can fit into my parking structure without scraping off the front. I guess I could get the front hydraulic lift but the GT3 clutch is heavy as hell and I prefer having both legs symmetric and not my left more muscular than the right
The 997.1 C2S does come closer to the 997.1 GT3 without sacrificing daily driveability. The 997.2 GT3 is a completely different animal and may well be worth the leg asymmetry LOL.

Lol just kidding, thanks for keeping us in perspective.
No offense, but if you make $25k a year, you can't afford any of those cars.
Save for a house. Living with your parents is giving you an altered sense of financial reality. With your salary, if you move you, you will NOT be able to afford one of those cars + all living expenses.
Pay off the TL and keep it.

Hey I just noticed the A/C off button last night on the center console, the super small one in the middle. WTF does this do, just turn off the AC and keep the fan on?!?!
Don't you think it's odd that to turn off the A/C and fan, one has to toggle the fan switch on the lower right until it goes to 0? Oh well, I bought this car for performance and not technological amenities
No automatic headlights FTW.

Seriously, keep the TL. Once paid off, the money you save from the payment can be saved for other things. But for the love of god, pay off your CC and keep it clean, with a 0 balance. You're building credit with the auto loan, and paying that over time is a lot better for your score than CC debt.
And by the time you realize you left it in and she's due in 9 months, you'll be glad you had some money saved.
Have you considered just buying a RWD project car? Get an old 240 or something for a couple grand, modify with liquid resources. That way you don't go deep into debt, and you still get your RWD fix.
FTR, student = student loans = from what I hear a giant bitch. It's nice to live life, but you don't know where you'll be five years from now. If I were you, I'd stay safe. You probably won't be living with your parents for much longer, so prepare to have your expenses shoot up in a few years. If you can still comfortably afford any of those cars on your list, go and buy them.
You said yourself you love your TL. Keep on loving.
BTW: TL is the only one with a big enough backseat to get busy. No point selling it for a car that gets some ass, only to not have anyplace to consume said rear end.
