Thoughts on Sebring convertible
So I thought I'd rent a Sebring convertible for my first week of training in the Bay area since the price difference between that and a normal rental is pretty insignificant (see, I'm a good corporate citizen), and it's actually not too bad. It rattles quite a bit and handles like a boat, but bringing the top up/down is pretty convenient. It only takes a few seconds. The blind spots are pretty bad though. When I first got in the car I was thinking to myself "this is an accident waiting to happen". But so far so good.
I really miss the refinement of the TSX. When I'm going 120km/hr in the Sebring, it feels like I'm going so much faster and the feel for the handling of the car gets really numb. The off of the line pickup of the car is pretty good though. I guess that's where the V6 helps.
I've never driven a convertible car before and it's pretty sweet cruising down the freeways here with the top down. I really wish I had my TSX here though. Driving it around the twisty freeways would have been pretty sweet. Anyways, just wanted to give some thoughts on the rental while I'm waiting for the others in my class to finish their lab.

I had a rental Sebring in Vancouver last weekend and when I got home to my TSX I thought my power steering was broken because the Sebring is so overboosted it made the TSX feel really heavy.
We also rented a Sebring Conv when we were on our honeymoon in Hawaii last month. Thing that I loved the most was the body roll. I have never experienced it in any car before. I felt the the rear end wanting to twist off from the front every time I went through a turn.
