if you like modding...pony up the extra cheese and get a WRX...there ain't as much out for the 2.5's...the AWD is always nice tho

As a 2nd car seems fine and if you ever wanna do some work to it , you can always swap the Sti in there.

The 2001 was the year prior to the Impreza makeover which included the debut of the WRX stateside. Good all weather beater car though.

i mean u think i would be better just to get a wrx like 02-03 and spend a little more, im not looking to put a whole lot of money into the car, i know i would def do like intake/springs/shocks

It has a bigger engine than the WRX (isn't the WRX 2.0L?). You can prolly turbo it if you want and some other mods...I think it would be a fun car to toy around with...there are some sweet aero kits out there for it too. My dad had a scoobie for almost 10 years, spent $$ on regular maitanance and it went well over 200k miles...and it only cost him $9999 brand new!

My friend just got a '04 2.5rs and that thing is really sweet. I would get one cause its AWD...rally anyone?

Aren't they heavy dogs considering their underpowered and must weigh a ton with the AWD? Why even mod it?

don't bother putting a aftermarket turbo kit on the 2.5RS, you're just asking for headaches. if you want power, spend the extra cash and pick up a WRX.

almost got a 2003 2.5RS but went with a 2002 TLS. Those cars are fun to drive with stick even though its not a WRX. very good handling in the snow
