Those two sentances should never be used together-are you retarded? Im being serious here that you are worried about how fast a car is when you want a family...shouldn't safety and reliability be your number one priority, instead of how fast a car goes? Get your priorities straight and I hope to God the future mother is using a form of birth control or you know how to put on a condom

No i am NOT retarded, and yes, but i want tos speed once in a while when im alone.

I havent sat ina TSX yet, but when i sat in a TL i LOVED IT, its only about 2.5k more used.

Yet you claim that you don't speed, don't beat on the car and then wonder why you get fishy gas mileage. Wrap it up buddy, and grow up a little.
If you did any research at all, you would learn that there are much safer cars for a family than a TSX, but then again, speed demon, safety seems to be low on the list of priorities for you

Look my speeding is in a 40 zone, 50, in a 45 zone 55, when im with family i follow speed limit, i dont drive like a jack off, of course there are more safer cars than a TSX but, its the best bang for the buck in luxury. Plus i only want to buy a Honda or a Toyota, and the ES300, is NOT my style.

My gas mileage has nothing to do at the moment, because the minute i noticed it, i started going speed limit and im still coming short. it maybe that i need to change my air intake filter, it has been 12k.

So i will do that and see what happens. Look, tsx is cool, but i dont always want to be stuck behind. NO OFFENSE TO TSX OWNERS, just my personal thing, TL is faster, wider and bigger. and i liked that about it.

You know what Z, maybe your right, maybe i need to look at comfort and safety, although TL's have quite a bit of bad reviews, i really have read ONE or TWO about the TSX. So maybe il just get a TSX its the SMART thing to do. i guess.

I can tell you after getting rearended and rearending someone else at the same time in neutral rolling foward, I was not happy with the TSX's damage. The front car was an Armada with no damage and the rear car was a Jeep, with no damage. The TSX didn't fair so well, at least in my opinion, for an accident when no one was going more than 3-4 miles per hour. I don't have the breakdown of damage yet, the car is still in the shop but I do know combined with a key job on my entire passenger side, the estimate was somewhere around $2000-3000. I just don't know the individual estimates for each job. It really made me think about driving a smaller sedan with all the big SUVs on the road.

A previous gen (2000ish) Maxima should be fairly inexpensive, big enough to hold friends and family, and have that power you seem to want so bad.

I am not sure about gas mileage on a V-6 Maxima, but the reliability should be fairly high.

2004. I dont know if nissans reliability is as good as acura's or hondas. but i think its a nice big comfy car, since Z is recomending NOT to get a TSX.

You need to decide for yourself what car would meet your needs-sure we can all offer advice, but it comes down to doing your reseach and test driving what you like.

+1

running a stage 2 tune and the way i drive i get about 180-220 out of 3/4 tank. i figure why buy the car if i'm not going to use the turbo? all highway i could def hit 300+ on a 17g tank.

im basically getting about 15-16mpg around town and average about 26-28 on the highway.

i love the backseats because they have a gangsta lean to them so they are comfy vs a vertical seat back. i hate that.

and yeah the electronical throttle and clutch on the subie takes some getting used to. i learned how to drive stick on my friends bmw and woah what a difference. took me a couple months to get smooth driving down.

LGT FTW

peace

^ Actually, most practical idea would be to keep your CLS since the Maxima and CL are very similar in a lot of ways, including gas mileage...

Sure, besides the fact that my tranny went after 20k miles.
plus i just need a 4 door now. i wouldnt trade in a CL for a CL. although 03 6pd is VERY tempting.

but i guess out of range, i wanna spend 9k thats it, i get to keep 1k formyself!

i had the car for sale under TaffetawhiteCLS2k1 but apparently we arent allowed to do that.

Ive come to the final conclusion after askin around ALL over the place, its the remote started and longer periods of idle, on this last tank i have i got 294 miles. NO REMOTE START.

which makes alot of sense since it was being left on for

48 minutes a day* 5days = 210 miles... gas wastage.

I dont see how a BMW will help you save money on gas. If you buying a high mileage one then good luck on repairs if they are needed. Hope you work on your own cars.

Buy a civic 4 door.

The car warms up in 9 mins, and 9 mins is ALL u need for it to be started, not 24 which is the stupid default factory setting. you can change it to 9 when someone buys my car, i have the manual. i will just shut it off after 9.

so my car filled up 14.2 GALLS at 294.

AKA 21MPG! ohhh yeaa!

How many miles are on your CL and is your car properly maintained - from tire pressures to clean filters etc? Also, are you putting gas mixed with ethanol like sold at Exxon or pure ole gas from Citgo etc? Was your CL in an accident before- are tires being worn out evenly, does the car pull to the side? Many factors contribute to high mpg

Your insurance is crazy high to be driving a performance oriented 2 door car, but it seems that you have enough cash to buy a car you want. Otherwise, if you finance the purchase, the bank will obligate you to maintain full coverage...

There are only a few cars with AWD that are not the new models: Subies, VWs, and Audis. Either that or get yourself an SUV lol. I'd look at Impreza (non-WRX), it is cheap, awd, fast from the box- stock 5spd 0-60 in around 7 seconds, handles well, has high potential, cheaper to insure than WRX.

Otherwise just settle for a nice DD FWD, and save your $$ for real toys.

The cars always inflated at 32 PSI, properly maintained, NO CITGO only BP and Shell, mostly shell, no accidents, brand new tires all that great stuff. i just figured o0ut it was over the remote starter and long periods of idling, i just didnt know it would affect it THAT MUCH.

Plus, he's all over the place and keeps changing his mind on why he needs a new car almost as much as he's changing his mind on which car he wants...
