that's a dick ignorant statement. My wife has a 05 Corolla and cost us 13k and it'll be fixed up. You gonna laugh at that too? Its cheap and a reliable car. Have you even seen the scion tc? It has led signals on the mirror, dual panoramic moon roof, 17" wheels, great gas mileage and then some. Do your research before you make staements like this. There was a nice thread I started on the Scion tc which a majority of members on here wouldn't mind owning. I'm still waiting for a lil money to come thru so I can pick one up.

It looks like an awesome car, the torque really helps to pull it quicker as well. The gas mileage is rated the same as the 2nd gen CLS-6.

I would buy one, and don't they have an optional supercharger from toyota available in the car?

ive been looking into one of these for a while now and it really seems like the way to go. for not spending much at all, you can have a very reliable car thats easly modable and looks sweet too.

Powerwsie you will miss what the CL gives you but we're just talking affordable/reliable car w/ the looks to go w/ it. Can't compare apples to oranges. Add the SC and you will be right there w/ the Rsx-s but still be cheaper I think? The CL is an awesome ride but way too many issues that hurt the support for the CL (sales,tranny,brakes,resale value..etc). I'm sure they will have great aftermarket support for this car. I still want to keep my CL so instead of selling I figured I'd work more OT or get another pt gig.

 

Absolutely not. But as I'm going off to school next year I'm looking for something a) smaller, b) stick, and c) better on gas.

 

A cls is still relatively inexpensive. I've seen 6-speeds sell for around 22k here! I bet you could negotiate them down.

I keep thinking getting one and nicely modding ( suspension and S/C) would make it a nice performer in AutoX.

That where my real interest with this car lies.

Well, if you SC it...you really dont want to autox it....you'll be put in the unlimited class...the xB is suppposed to be pretty cool handler tho....

I will see how the aftermarket works. If turbo produced I might consider selling my Accord V6 and get one, or Acura manufacture RWD or AWD coupe. Consider this for $30K incl cost of the car, this scion tC can be made extremely fast

 

Hows it trying to look fast? Its a two door that takes cues from more expensive cars. This isn't some celica commercial.

 

Just to update this thread. I'm selling my CLS now and hope to pick up a tC in November when I go back home for Thanksgiving. Black with the TRD suspensions, lip spoiler, and 18" TRD Wheels.

I'm not getting it guys. 100 less hp than a CL-S, only a few hundred lbs lighter, same gas mileage, so-so looks? Why?

Got to be something I'm missing here - cuz right now it looks like something I'd tell my sister to buy, not something I would.

It's a really nice car; would take it anyday over a Civic or anything comparable. Test drove it; was really impressed, but by far the only draw back I see is the lack of trunk room!! If the trunk room was there, this definitely would be my DD.
