Today i test drove cars with my girlfriend. These were for her not me.
First one was a new 2001 Celica GT-S auto. It was quiet, pretty quick and only 20k with leather. It had an autostick, but only a 4speed auto so it was kind of pointless. To shift the tranny manualy there were buttons on the steering wheel which was pretty cool.

Second car was a 99 eclipse GS-T stick. All i have to say is that car is realy fast compared to a 2.2 CL. Crapy cloth interior and horrible stereo. The turbo lag took some getting used to, especialy in first gear. If i wasnt paying attention the car would launch forward when the turbo kicked in.

I love driving cars that are not mine.

Any other 2 door sporty car suggestions for around 15-20k? New or used?

 

Whats wrong with a RSX Type S

 

You can't get a RSX-S for 15-20k. You could get a RSX 5AT with
s-tronic. You could get a new Civic Si for 19.5 out the door.

 

I'm sure you can get a used one for around 20K

 

Get the GS-T, in the words of johnny tran's cousin, it is an amazing piece of machinery. If I were looking at a used car I would look at that, turbo and AWD. Cloth is no biggy. Stereo, for 1500 you can get a great replacement including subs. Get a new turbo in there or just some other engine parts, and that thing will fly.
