When they revealed the Black FXX I remembered that one is Schumachers and I thought, "hey that is cool of him to loan out the car", but I didn't think twice that it would be him.
Yeah I seriously doubt he is the full time stig, as someone said before it is prob a couple different drivers.
Still, how about that time... almost 7 seconds faster than any other car before it.

I think he did.
I thought the joke was epic and brilliantly handled! We still don't know who the REAL Stig is.

Terry, where do you watch it? I kept recording them on BBC Canada (Rogers) but they kept showing episodes from 2 or 3 years ago so I gave up. Are they current now?

Top Gear's 'The Stig' Revealed **Schumacher Revealed as The Stig (page 2)**
Michael Schumacher is The Stig.
At least that's according to the latest episode of the BBC's car fanatics favourite, Top Gear.
In a segment of the show, broadcast on Sunday night on BBC Two, a driver put in laps of the Top Gear track in a Ferrari FXX and promptly slashed the previous record, set by a Gumpert Apollo, by almost seven seconds as he crossed the finishing line in 1:10.7.
Introducing the driver, Jeremy Clarkson, one of the show's presenters, said: "Some say that he invented the curtain, and that he recently submitted a £20,000 expenses claim for some gravel for his moat... All we know is: He's called The Stig.
"He's been fed up with newspapers speculating that he's a photocopier salesman from Bolton, or lives in a pebble-dashed house in Bristol."
And with that the helmet was removed...
To reveal Michael Schumacher.
Clarkson, though, later threw doubt on the whether the seven-time F1 Champion really is The Stig, saying: "You know what? I don't think that Michael Schumacher is The Stig."
As for the BBC, an insider told The Mirror that it was "a joke" while a spokesman said: "We never reveal who or what The Stig is."

I try to download them. It takes some work and not always successful, but it seems to be the only way to get relatively new episodes.

Schumi is not the stig, he was the celebrity appearance for the episode. And yes that was his fxx and he drove it. On bbc.com/uk they have a behind the feature scene and it says how many laps does it take schumi to learn the top gear test track.
BTW for those of u that dont know finalgear.com has top gear episodes in great quality. Its a torrent file that you will have to download. But i downloaded it and hooked up my laptop to my 42in lcd and man was it still really clear.

Top Gear News - STIG'S ID REVEALED
LONDON - The opaque visor of one of Britain's most famous helmets has been lifted.
The identity of The Stig, the always-anonymous test driver on the popular television show "Top Gear," has long been a closely guarded secret. On Wednesday, lawyers said the BBC had been refused an injunction blocking publication of a book revealing the identity of the character.
Shortly after, publishers HarperCollins said in a statement that a 33-year-old racing driver named Ben Collins "has a great story to tell about his seven years as The Stig, which will appeal to a wide audience beyond just motoring enthusiasts."
