Well they do.... until a new one comes out.

 

Percentage-wise, if the new price was $180,000-190,000, the used prices are decent for 3 & 4 year-old cars.

Sorta like buying a new Accord, then selling it 3-4 years later-- just add a zero to the numbers in the case of the F430, and the F430 looks like a better deal than the Accord.

 

Honestly for $145-150k I'm buying a V10 Audi R8.

The F430 might be better but I could never own a Ferrari. I don't have enough chest hair.

 

One of the best examples of rock solid resale value is the BMW Z8. New in 03: $139k Loaded, today with like 4K miles: $139K! What recession!

Whats wrong with that picture? How is a low mileage '03 BMW Z8 worth more today than a low mileage '07 F430, and '04 Gallardo? I guess BMW > than *

 

I dunno, my grandfather always told me something is only worth what somebody will pay for it. Just because people are asking $130k+ for a Z8 doesn't mean they will actually get that....

 

Lurking around the exotic boards, the economy has taken a bigger bite out of the values of a F430 or Gallardo more than anything. The market is literally flooded with exotics who's previous owners couldn't afford them...
