I was expecting someone to show up in a Ariel Atom.

yea same lol, I take my last comment back, I'd take the atom over all of these!

 

If Clarkson was to chose the Atom, it would have definitely been the V8 Ariel Atom. POWER!!!!

 

The V8 is a limited production run car that costs around $200k. I get the feeling that this was meant to be an everyday mans track car comparison. That said, the regular Atom can be had for $50k new, which is around the same price as the KTM and is clearly superior. Then again, the Caterham (1:17.9 cold) is faster than the regular Atom 2 (1:19.5), but it does cost more. Now that is the old Ariel Atom 2, they have now released the Atom 3 so they should test that one. If I were in the market I would probably pick up a new Atom 3. At 52k its 10 grand less than the Caterham (priced at $61k new here). All said and done though I would be happy with any of them, even the funky KTM.

 

But POWAAAR!!!!

Ugh, been downloading for 1 1/2 hours. Almost done, though! My son watching Sonic on Netflix is not helping.

 

It was downloading really quickly at first. It got to ~20% in the first 30 mins of downloading. Its only at 28.2%, and its telling me its going to take 18hrs to finish

EDIT - now 1 day 13 hours.

 

Now watching. The F10 M5 review is first. WOW. Damn, what a car. What a car! I want to line up with one in my V!

Great episode indeed! The race was actually fun to watch too, even from my computer screen!

And Slash's version of the theme was awesome, liked it better than the regular version.
