You'd think that the 8spd would be better for a diesel given the really narrow power band of the motor...but I can't argue with your butt in the seat test feeling.

General recommendations from the Q community is to go with the 11+ for the 8spd but there are also no complaints from the guys with the pre 11' 6spds. Some guys mentioned that the 8spds shift too much to find the perfect gear where others say that they're great.

You'd think the 8spd would give the the best off the line experience with the shorter gears. Maybe I'm out to lunch..

I've only driven roughly 10 to 15 miles of mixed city & hwy in comfort setting since this past Wednesday.

Shifts are buttery smooth & suspension is the bee's knees.... very tamed.

I'll report back after I've had more time with it this weekend.

I will say though, from the Lexus NX to this, you can definitely feel the weight difference going from 3,940 to 5,412.
