Gave the paint some love yesterday, Meguairs M105 is just magic with the right pads.
Woke up early today & headed out to a local dyno day, 2 pulls for 80 bucks & all proceeds go to the sick kids foundation.
First time ever having a car on the dyno which was nerve racking but it was a great experience, especially since it was a Mustang shop
Put down 486hp/459tq. Overall ppl loved the car & were blown away that it was stock.
Have a video as well, guess I need to upload to youtube first.
Incase anyone is wondering, the black vinyl on the trunk trim lifted after a car wash.

Jeez...
I wonder what the fuck I'm making then...
I have the airraid with the green filter, LS7 ported throttle body and Corsa touring axle back...I have to be over 500 to the wheels.
That's awesome, man...thanks for sharing. I like the chrome trim on the black car, that's why I never blacked mine out.

In the past, I'd always go 205 after 105 & have always had great results. This time I did some research since I hadn't dusted off the DA in over a year & came across a thread about using 105 with a finishing pad. The thread had some great info so I gave it a shot using a different technique & the results blew me away.
First I prepped a fresh orange pad to cut with (never bothered before) and also prepped a beat up black finishing pad. Started with the orange at 4k rpm to work the compound in till it was almost gone, then switched to the black without removing the left over compound, worked it at 4k rpm again then again with 2k rpm. The results speak for themselves, could only imagine what 205 would be like..

The number one reason to not buy a Mustang is shown in your recent photos at the dyno session... 671349 of them all in one parking lot. They're everywhere. Just doesn't feel special, even if they make ridiculous NA power these days.

thanks for sharing... i wish my V would break the 500 mark to the wheels but AT lyfe... i just don't think we can squeeze that much out of an intake without a tune... next spring when tunetime has a dyno day i'll take the car there.
i ain't no dyno expert but can anyone chime in on the correction factor?

That's my dilemma. I'm a Mustang guy and have a Fox Body (technically 2 but one is for sale). I can pick up a pre-owned GT for fairly cheap, drop the Roush Charger into it, and be over 600hp easy (over 700hp if you buy a 2018+ Mustang). Problem is Mustangs are numerous and even with some nice cosmetic mods, they are still a dime a dozen. Of course, if I'm happy with the car it doesn't matter, but it does bother me a bit that they are everywhere...

Me too. I was really thinking about picking one up before I bought my Nismo... But it pissed me off that my "special" car was on every other street corner.
Not going to lie though... With how both the Mustang and Camaro have progressed in recent years, they're still on my mind. But you know it's bad when you see three ZL1s in one day. Those ain't no chump change.

All true, but hearing the GT350 blast past me on an on ramp this morning
While realizing that's an exception to the dime-a-dozen Mustangs on the road.
CTS-Vs are definitely not a super common sight around here. Mostly 3G 2.0T CTS seen in my commute.

Was it next to the Mustang GT that was also putting down 750hp? Or the convertible Mustang that was putting down 675hp? or the GT350 that was putting down 800hp? or the...

Except for the 2 GT500's over 700+, the rest weren't impressive at all. Wanted to see the Hellcat's go but they showed up last & I wasn't waiting a couple more hours to find out.

They are probably not very fun to drive because all mustangs I've ever driven are twitchy as fuck which makes them more scary than fun when pushing the limits.
I find the V to be pretty predictable although if you give it too much mustard, good luck bringing the momentum of 4500 pounds back in line. I have some fun stories about that...

I obviously don't spend enough time in Car Talk. Congrats on the 2G V! You'll love it, AND they are reasonably reliable. I enjoyed my V sedan but wanted wagon and 6MT, the only reasons I jumped. Nearly six years later, I'm still the only owner of mine. Drove it to work this morning!
I love your fuel station pic. You'll have lots...and lots....and lots....of those soon enough.

Project chrome delete continued today, wrapped the chrome trim around the upper/lower front grilles. It was eventful but well worth it..

Chrome delete looks good, as always, on a Raven Black V.

It's definitely not for the faint of heart, especially with curved pieces..
Majority of the V guys just black out everything which looks good but I decided to leave the grille itself chrome & it's a great touch IMO

Looking good. You should pickup a set of the OEM Black chrome grills. They are on my list to add to my chrome delete as well. They are pricey but I think they look so good.

I'm more worried about spending LESS money on the car than more...
then again, I'm maintaining 5 vehicles at all times...alignments, tires...oil changes...
just spent $300 on front end steering components for the Yukon...$40 for tie rod
ends for the Audi...got an oem injector on the way for j's van...
the list goes on...
sorry, I went off topic but yeah, pricey grills is out for me.

The contrast looks good, keep details from getting lost in a sea of black.
Nice work on the wraps. I noticed the 'chrome' OE wrap on my chin spoiler on the C is cracked on one corner, so a wrap may be in the cards there for me.
