Haha. No... no coupe bashing. My buddy has been thinking about a CTS-V coupe and asked me if the seats folded down. Told him I thought they did in the coupe but that I would confirm (and google searches create confusion on the topic)... so of course I came to an Acura forum to confirm
Soooo.... do the coupe seats fold?

Wagon prices ebb and flow so I'll just wait for them to be closer to $40k before I start looking again. If I get really impatient I can pick up a coupe in the low $30k range since I own 2 trucks and don't need a wagon...

After searching for 4 months I was getting ready to order it and mine popped up in VA, and even though it had the titanium recaros I knew it was the one. And even though most people don't like silver I have no regrets because I have never seen another silver coupe.. I mean I know they made them but even my dealer has told me that they have never seen another silver V coupe set up like mine with the titanium and yellow calipers.. My SA said they have serviced to silver coupes but both had black interior once with the recaros the other with the regular seats and both with silver calipers..
He comes back and offers me what was basically a retail number for it.. I was shocked and said thanks but its not for sale, he says you know that's way above wholesale but throw me a number and I'll see if it works.. So for shits and giggles I tell him I want $4,000 more.. He tells me let me make a call, he comes back and says you've got a deal and puts out his hand... I'm standing there in total disbelief and told him this is happening way too fast so I have to think it over. I almost did it because I haven't really driven it too much and figured I'll bank the money.. But I knew I had to speak to the family first..
I knew that my oldest son would lose his mind since the car will be his one day, and wasn't sure what my wife would say.. She lost it, she told me NO way are you selling it because you are going to regret it.. She said one day you're going to open the garage and hate yourself for letting it go.. She said if we had to sell it that would be one thing, but since (thankfully) we don't have to who cares if you only drive it several times a year.. Gotta love her!!!
Now 4 months later she was right, I definitely would have regretted it. I never mentioned it to my son at the time, but two weeks ago jokingly I told him that my Caddy dealer made me a really good offer to buy the V.. He didn't say a word and ignored me.
So I asked him if he heard me and he said seriously, there's nothing to talk about, that car is going nowhere it's going to my kids one day.... Yeah I made the right decision...

I used to have a love affair with my car...the black TL. 7 years on it...I knew it inside and out. I still kind of regret selling a car I know that well. At the time I had an Israeli landlord with a few properties and owned a few tow trucks in a booming business...he would show up to collect the rent in a different car every month...he was like, I came here with $700 about 7 years ago...I love cars and things but if you want to take my advice...only love your family, never love a car. Buy it, enjoy it, sell it...make a profit or break even.
After I thought about that it led me to the type S TL...then the Caddy and now the others I've bought and will eventually need to sell when I get tired of paying insurance on them...I guess I enjoy them for a bit then move on and try not to get attached anymore.

You see for me and my son in only 5 years we have a lot of history with the V..He was 20 when I got it and my dad (75 now) who had a V at the time drove us down to VA in his V to pick it up. We left NY 4:30am and got to the dealer around 9:00, filled out the paperwork turned around and me and my son drove the V back and we were home by 3:00pm.. It was a long day that we will both never forget.. You see IMO there is no price to put on those memories and the reason we, especially he is so attached to it..

It's crazy b/c coupe and sedans are selling for reasonable prices. I have found some nicely priced wagons, but most are high. Then again their miles are low so that could be why. Seems like the wagons are really affected the most by the high summer low off-season pricing. The sedans and coupes stay the same. I was very tempted by a coupe for about $30k here locally that had about 70k miles... but I let it go. Probably should sell my Mustang first.

It's amazing the impact these cars have on people & rightfully so, there's not much bad to say about them.
They definitely hold a decent value & the Vagon's are another level. With that said, there are deals out there. With the conversion rate I paid $24k US for a 2 owner V, dealer serviced & only 40k miles. If that's not bang for the buck, I don't know what is..

IMO these are special cars, you have to own and or drive one to understand it.. From the first time I saw a V I knew I wanted one, that's why I got rid of the Vette. As much as I liked and enjoyed the GS I love the V.. You got a great deal for only 40K miles..

Finally had some time to pick up/install the New Era 4" intake I bought. Install was a breeze (Less than 20 minutes) & the whine is the cherry on the cake
The air filter is ridiculous..
The intake was used & the filter looks kinda beat up but still in great condition overall. Haven't done a lot of driving yet but initial impressions feel a definite tq bump, especially driving in town. See how the ECU continues to adjust over the next little while.
Hope everyone's enjoying the long weekend..

Sweet Jesus. That air filter looks like the new 4" wide butt plug I recently installed in my anus. Install was a breeze. Just slipped right in. I could definitely feel the improvement instantly. Made extra farting sounds everytime I lean into it around town. Now I can definitely HEAR it everytime I go to the can
No, but seriously, nice pick up. Intakes always make a forced induction engine sound badass. I'm sure the extra grunt doesn't hurt either

I honestly thought the whine would be louder... till I did some highway pulls
Woke up to an early delivery..
Gonna send it out to be ported so I won't have it back for a while. Gotta stop finding parts so damn cheap

Doesn't help that I'm a sucker for deals
Yea, it's an LS7 TB. Can't wait to have it ported, kinda annoying having to always having to go close to WOT to really get the car moving..

WHAT THE FLYING FUCK?!?!?
the Vagon WAS available in Canada!!!
this is the first one I’ve seen for sale, after looking and looking... no 6MT, but shiiiiett....
too rich for my blood, though. I wouldn’t cough up that much dough right now.

I didn’t even think they were sold in Canada. I’ve looked at Vs for the last two years... pretty much since majofo bought one. I never saw a Canadian Vagon for sale. There must only be like a dozen in Canada. I wonder if any are manual.

But at 60k, shiiiet, I’d rather go sedan.
Though let’s be honest, if they’re that rare, they’ll go up in value... hmmm... investment??

True, but 60k CDN isn’t that crazy. They sold for way more than that, new.
If it was USD I’d be thinking they’re smoking crack. I can still see that thing climbing in value, truth be told.
