T1-R or BFG KDW-2

anyone have experience w/ either of these? I'm about to buy new tires for the GTO and have narrowed it down to these. They are priced the same @ about $160 each.

I've always liked BFG tires.

Did you get that rear bumper fixed?

good thing is, I don't have to look at it (while it's in the shop atleast).

but, it's just a car, and easily fixable, had it been my '55 i'd be pissed though

Very nice! I'd be more than a little pissed if it was mine and someone ran into the back of it!

how long ago did you have the BFG's? I keep reading the new gen's are much quieter (not sure I believe it)

I'm leaning toward T1-r's though

Oh I had them on the Iforged, so maybe a year ago?

I might even have them on the BBS, i forget

Only reason i went with them over the T1-R is that i like buying from Discount Tire since they close and offer that lifetime warranty thing. Comes in handle when having low profile tires.

I checked, I do have the KDWs on the BBS wheels. If thats the case then they are still loud when they wear down. Sticky tires otherwise though, they great for the price.

Would still go with the T1-R if you can.

Another vote for the T1-R. I'm getting a staggered set of CCWs for my GTO this coming summer (8"/10") and I'll be running T1-Rs up front and either 275 BFG DRs or T1-Rs out back (after fender rolling of course).

Never had any problems with Toyo's. The T1-R's wear well, ride quiet even with 1/2 thread wear, firmed sidewall than the old T1-S. What size do you need Scott?

No kidding, what kind? I want a set of 505As so damn bad. I've looked at HRE and iForged, but none of their offerings have me quite as taken.
