Production numbers for all colors where posted here (for those of you who missed the precursor to this thread):
https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...3&page=2&pp=40
I thought honda/Acura didn't release any of this "proprietary" info?? They might have gotten the info the same way the 6spd CL info was "discovered"

Coming from a guy with a blue car...
<----------------------------------------------
I think Yellow is the best looking color on the NSX
BUT, its all about what YOU want, and if you like the Blue, DO NOT COMPROMISE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!!
*edit* the NSX is such an awesome car I'd take one in any color, even pink :theghey:

if the yellow has black interior go with the yellow, especially if its only a weekend car, so it stands out even more. but the blue does look mighty fine. Im torn between the two

may be a little big, but here all ALL THE PRODUCTION NUMBERS FOR THE NSX yes, 1 TV is required to view all at once.
heres a link to it:
http://www.nsxprime.com/w/images/6/62/NSXCHARTJPEG.JPG
These are your following choices for ease of view:
For Blue/Black: 18 total, 17 Manual, 1 AT
For Blue/Blue: 23 total, 22 Manual, 1 AT
For Blue/Tan: 18 total, 15 Manual, 3 AT
For yellow, the color changed in 2004 to RIO YELLOW from SPA YELLOW, here are their production numbers;
2002-2003
Spa Yellow:
Yellow/Black: 59 total, 27 manual, 2 AT
Yellow/Yellow: 27 total, 26 Manual, 1 AT
For 2004, the RIO YELLOW:
Rio/Black: 19 total, 17 Manual, 2 AT
Rio/Yellow: 8 total, 7 manual 1 AT
Personally, I say go with the blue, looks a whole lot better, but if you have the time and money, look at IMOLA ORANGE, that is one sick color on an NSX

personally, I like the spa yellow a bit more then the rio yellow. Rio is a bit more on the orangey side...

To give you guys a concrete example, here is a higher mileage NSX (2002) in the long beach blue. I talked to a sales guy and he said he can do 58k + tax.
http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?car_id=241341341
Now, I can get a 2003 spa yellow for lower miles for 53k. So, as you can see, more miles... older... and 5k more.

if you are staying stock, go with the blue, if you are going aftermarket, i think the yellow will actually look better with gunmetal or gold wheels...best looking car on the streets..gl man

With more research I think that 7~10k price difference can be cut in at least half. Its not a fixed market difference rather is an untimely coincidence. Keep your eye out for a better priced blue rather than pulling a trigger with that huge of a difference.
You are considering this to be a collectors car, the production numbers speak for themself
. We both know the more rare a color the more money it will fetch later down the road when this car is not as abundantly available as it is now (when I say abundant I dont mean one at every dealers lot).

I voted yellow, but I don't care what color an NSX is if I were getting one-- I generally don't like white or black, but would get an NSX in either color for the right price. Color is not a big issue for me- I'd buy an orange Mustang, so I'd live with yellow, red, blue, silver, grey, or lime green on an NSX, Ferrari or Lambo....

I say, go blue. Don't compromise.

When paying over 50K for a car you intend to keep, then cheap out because of a measly 5-7K, you'll end up kicking yourself in the nuts later on. As others said, don't compromise.

Synth, I love either of those colors with the color matched interior!
The NSX is such a hot looking car (NA1 or NA2)

Thanks guys for ALL the feedback. I've put my car up for sale on a few forums, so hopefully I can get this done soon. After going through my huge nsx photo collection, I'm really favoring yellow now. Blue is still my #1 choice, but I dont think I would hesitate in picking up a yellow NSX. So I guess it's about choice #1 vs. #2 (rather then "compromising).

I hate you!
I say go with the blue if thats what you really want.
I've been researching 94 - 98 NSXs recently. I wish I could afford 02 - 04!
Good luck with whatever you decide to buy, you bastard.![Smile](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Edit: Yellow is hot. You can't go wrong.
Can someone loan me 60K please?

^ No. Didnt get it yet, I have to sell the Z first. I can't justify having both cars. Realisitcally, GTR isn't an option until year 2 or 3. I am definitely consdering it, but the NSX is a good option to "tie me over" for a couple of years. Then, if I want to get the GTR in '09/2010, then I can sell the NSX and pretty much break even. I guess some may ask, why not enjoy the Z for a few years, and just trade in for the GTR? Well, timing is everything... I think I can get the most value for the Z at this point, rather then waiting to sell it in 2-3 years. Besides, maybe I will love the NSX so much that I won't want anything else....
