SUV tires help!!!

So I need to find a new set of tires for my parents 2003 Ford Escape XLT 2WD. The stock Continentals have got to go at 43k miles because they are loosing air and just horrible all-around.

I know how to go to the different websites and search for tires but I was just trying to find out which company makes a great all-season highway type tire for SUVs. No all-terrain tires needed thank you

Oh yeah and since we live in Chicago we need a good wet/dry/snow traction tire.

p.s. The Continentals have been crap the whole time we've owned the car, my parents just replace stuff when absolutely necessary

In 15 inch size, these are the best 2 tires according to reviews and tests from tirerack.com:

Kumho Solus KR21 225/70R15 (Standard Touring All-Season)
----Warranty on treadlife - 4 Years / 85,000 Miles
General Altimax RT 225/70R15 (Standard Touring All-Season)
----Warranty on treadlife - 6 Years / 70,000 Miles

In 16 inch size (only good one in STAS):

Kumho Solus KR21 235/70R16 (Standard Touring All-Season)
----Warranty on treadlife - 4 Years / 85,000 Miles

I have the 16 inch wheels csmeance;

I was on tirerack and found that the General tire company was the best? it had like 8.7 consumer rating.

And those look like passenger car type tires, the type that I found all said "Highway all-season" ?

even though they seem to be the passenger ones, the weight rating they have is more than enough for the ford escape. General makes some awesome tires for cars, it's one of those companies that is slowly emerging from the shadows and becoming great.

I had the same issue last year. I ended up getting BF Goodrich Long Trails. I think they are pretty good so far. Wet traction with rain or snow has been really good. And they are pretty smooth driving.

I got mine at BJs. Free balance and rotation for life is a nice thing.

I also meant to ask....what is the primary use for your truck? Are you just using it on pavement, or do you go off road? The Long Trails are not going to be great for off roading.

I think we're going with the General Tire Grabber HTS. It has a better review on tirerack.com and is about $20 cheaper per tire so it seems like a win-win

I put the Fortera Triple Treads on my wifes expedition. They had a good rating and are down right awesome in the ice, snow and rain. She has a 20 min commute on the hwy and wanted something good for her and a friend had them on his SUV and was very satisfied with them. ( i have the BFG all terrain KO on my expedition with 85k on them. though i need to replace them but couldnt be happier.
