LOL touché. The difference is some people like your hood; nobody liked my spoiler removal . I still need to get the holes patched .
Definitely a personal choice in style. The no spoiler thing actually grew on me when I took mine off to plastidip the two blades that attach to the trunk. While it was off I was like oh that's pretty cool looking, but knowing the scoop was going on I think it needs to be there now.

TSW Nurburging wheels are rotary forged and super lightweight as well, so I believe you, but the Alcoas are forged and I love the way they look so I'm all set with wheels.

I snapped a few more iPhone photos today. I haven't permanently attached the emblems yet, I just stuck them on with some painters tape to see how they look. I'm liking it so they'll be going on for good this week.

Does it bolt through your OEM hood or is that a new hood entirely?

It's an entirely new fiberglass hood.

Meaning it's reversible...even better!

Notice any improvements? Probably on a hot Summer South Florida day you would.

I can understand how the T/A hood can be polarizing. I think the best to pull it off blend it in by either going matte/flat black on the vent or running racing stripes in line with it.. some serious execution points on some of these builds. I think it might look pretty wicked if you dipped it like this.. if it doesn't turn out right, peel it off.

Okay, I'm just going to come out and say it - "Limp phallus on your hood?"

Carry on.

I haven't really gone WOT since installing it, but I doubt it really does much until you're approaching triple digit speeds anyway.

I've thought about the Danko grill, but I like how the cross hair grill looks now with the scoop.

I do love that Hurst edition Challenger. I thought about trying something along those lines but decided to keep it solid, but plastidip is definitely an option.

So after the local car cruise this past weekend I opened her up on the highway and there was a big pro and a big con.

The pro is my highly accurate butt dyno tell me I gained 100hp with the hood. Ok maybe not, but it did seem to pull stronger on the top end, but of course that could be completely placebo.

The con is my super sensitive eagle eyes spotted the hood raising in the front corners when I got to 80, so it's hood pin time. I'm thinking about going with a more modern non-traditional approach. What do you guys think of these:

Meh. I've never really liked the look of hood pins. I liked the other ones because they didn't look like hood pins.

Why not DIY? I searched around to see what those other ones looked like installed and saw a thread a guy did installing them; it didn't look too hard.

Did you see these? Look closer to traditional so I'm assuming a similar install (drill a round hole vs. cutting an odd shape).

A little pricier, but pretty clean.

QL-50-LP-Low-Profile_Quik-Latch-Hood-Pins

There's a nice demo video on their site, but for the life of me, I can't get videos to embed on here.

Thanks for the link! I did come across these but I wasn't sure I liked how they looked, but after looking at them more I think I'd just need the minis since I'm still using my stock latch and I like how they're much smaller than the regular sized ones, so less obvious. They're cheap too, only $27 a piece, so it'd be even cheaper than the other flush mount ones. I'm sold!

Hmm didn't think about that, but I'm kind of digging the anodized black. It'd match well.

Didn't see the colors. I was expecting them to be in the drop down on the minis page like on the page for the regular ones, not as separate pages, so I thought they were only stainless .

Yeah their website is a little difficult to navigate. I emailed them asking if the mini latches are ok to use as hood pins while still using the stock hood latch and they quickly responded that they work perfect for that. Ordered!

The car's filthy and the photos came out terrible, but you get the idea. Black nips to go along with the limp dick. I took it for a highway jaunt and the hood didn't move a hair. Happy.

Thanks for the, um, compliments? Hehe I'm really happy with the quik-latch minis. They're barely noticeable which is what I was hoping for.

So speaking of the whiny noisy thingy under the hood. I just came into a decently large sum of cash from a relatives passing. Its just enough to secure a whiny thingy, but the responsable side of me has decided to use it toward the car note. But don't fret, it just means the car will be paid off faster which means the whiny thingy will happen sooner than first planned.
