Summer Closeout on Goodyear Eagle F1?

...through Tire Rack ------> http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....&AID=10398365&

I didn't see a thread on this. Several sites say that the tires have some issues which some are not pleased with. Anyone on AZ heard of this and/or have any thoughts? I only ask since its time for me to get some new tread for the Z.

I had them on TSX with 19" Volk TE-37...

I love'em. Only complain I have is the price... You can probably find better bang for the buck.

Yes-- a number of 3G TL owners had issues with the F-1s; the problems were attributable to the tires and not the cars' suspensions.
You'll probably find several threads on the problems; DMZ had a notable thread, IIRC. I thought the F-1s were recalled by Goodyear about a year ago as well.

You might want to check the Nissan forums to see if Z owners ran into the same problems.

The closeout tires are dated 2007 production. Also I think the recall was on the F1 All Season tires, not the summer F1's. I had a set of the F1 A/S's that were recalled (Only due to noise, not safety).

I run with F1 A/S-C's on my Subaru. And I have really grown to love the tire. It rates in the higher end of the survey, and the traction is pretty good. What I don't do is use them in snow, as we don't have snow. So as a summer tire, it has good rain and dry traction with acceptable noise IMO.
