Good deals on 2013's.
Go to freds TDi forum and look for a user 3193. Name is Chris from VW near Philly and he gives super sweet deals online. Usually $1K below invoice plus all of the VW credits and finance options.

Tdi wagon is too much. Good deal on a jetta se sedan though. Had no idea it's a 1.8t in them for 2014 models. Reminds me of my b6 a4...

CX5, Kia Sportage, Hyundai Tucson, Subaru Crosstrek?
These are all nice small CUV's.
I test drove the escape, but it had some cheap shitty plastic on the inside so i didnt like how cheap it felt for a 35k car (fully loded)

Yes.
and yes.
Tint was just put on yesterday but no pics. Everyone knows what a stock jetta looks like. Not that its all that exciting to look at.
However! It does fit a full size suitcase with the stroller in the trunk! Been getting 29mpg city and its a pretty fun car to drive with the turbo motor.

With the motor update it makes it a pretty good bang for the buck. Not sure what other midsize sedan comes with a turbo motor for under $19k.
Now lets hope it doesnt blow up.
Passenger seat leg room with the rear facing baby seat in the back.

I think the 1.8T might totally change the game for VW in terms of Jetta sales.
That 2.5L was a read piece of shit and the new 1.8T is going to basically give you a GLI for $19k.
Okay, so not really a GLI in a lot of ways but APR will definitely come out with a tune for it and I wouldn't be surprised to see it get into the 210hp range.

Looks like a good family-ride purchase. When the child becomes two+ children you'll definitely want the SUV (just say "No!" to minivans), if for nothing else just the amount of crap you'll be hauling around.

Yep, since we couldnt decide on a SUV now, we figure we would wait. Which is why this one is a lease.
Whats wild is that my insurance is only $550 a year on the jetta! Thats stupid cheap!

God damn. Stage 1 alone gives it as much torque at the wheels as my old Camaro did stock...
I know it's a lease, but APR tunes are easily reversible

I guess VW posted those ratings based off 87 oct.
APR used 91 octane for the stock and tuned ratings. Of course once you tune you can not use 87oct anymore. So it was a fair comparison then.

My problem with the tiguan is lack of rear cargo space...where most SUV/CUVs in that category have opened the space in side around the wheels wells...the tiguan straight up just made a wall on both sides to make for a narrow and small hatch area.

Both that & a heafty price tag for what your getting... We test drove the GLK and fell in love, so ended up it that.
I'll admit though, the Tiguan was a bit peppier to get going... At the end of the day, it was about comfort for the Mrs & rug rats to follow. The GLK hands down knocked it out the park.
