I don't think there is one. I do think I may have posted a picture of a white LGT wagon in a thread here at some point though.

OZLiberty.com = Aussie/NZ Legacy car site (they call it a Liberty because Legacy is the name of a WWII veterans group).
Also Cobbtuning.com has lots of goodies. If you want to mod, get the 2.5 GT/specB. If smooth power and some better luxuries are your thing then get a 3.0R. If you get a super deal, then anything else in the Legacy line.

1. 2.5 GT
2. Spec B .... don't know about the red interior though....
The first one seems kinda high IMO while the second one seems like a pretty decent deal. What would be a good price on those two? Anyone?

i still have it.. i commute about 40-60 miles a day. it really does drain my gas tank and also makes a lot of wind noise on the highway.
i actually just put it on only when i go up to the slopes. other than that, it comes back off when we're done at the end of the day.

Do you need AWD? Do you have a desire for lots of mods and big power?
Fit, finish, luxury and comfort wise it would be a downgrade.
p.s. sorry about not returning your PM. We can talk about it here though.

yeah.. overall, the interior isnt up to par to an acura.
but for modding, its near infinite. its cheaper to mod, and has a lot more potential in the long run. it really depends on what you want for your car. i loved the comfort of my acura, but i love to mod and the tl was just so limited to what i could do. and if i wanted to customize something or go crazy, it would get really expensive.
the legacy. im always itching to get more done and its not so hard to achieve. i am highly satisfied with it, more so than the tl.. its way more fun to drive as well.

I don't need AWD, but I think anything's better than FWD, although my UA7 handles great. I've driven, but never owned a RWD car, which would be great to own.

I've read that the shifter/clutch on the spec.B's are under-par, which is a deterrent.

Princely bug- I think the LGT is a good car, however unless you are planning on sinking a nice chunk of money into mods, I wouldn't get rid of an 07 TLS for one.

what?
turboback exhaust and a stage 2 tune will put you around 300whp. that's not a lot of money at all for some proper amount of power.
when i had my tl, i did all bolt-ons and did not achieve anything close to that and spent way more!

Sorry for the hi-jack, if need be, i'll make my own thread. Dope pictures of your legacy Matt
after a couple of troublesome snowboarding trips this season, i've really been thinking hard about picking up a used AWD car within the first half of next year (while prices are low and sellers are more or less desperate). I have about 20-25k to play with
WRX - a dime a dozen around here and comes with the 'boy racer' image that i'm not really into anymore
Saab 9-2x Aero - Hard to find, not sure if GM's ownership of Saab will bleed into any other aspects of the car's reliability. Very homely lol (wish they had made a sedan version )
Legacy GT - so far winning; not sure if they are as fun to drive as the WRX's. If someone could comment on that aspect I'd greatly appreciate it.
Volvo S60R - Was pretty much my top choice, but the posts about its nightmare reliability have pretty much scared me away.
'05 Acura RL - too plush and not as fun to drive as any of the other cars that i'm considering
Biggest thing is for me to get something that will be a reliable DD that i won't have to worry about taking up to the mountains.

the 92x aero IS a subaru wrx wagon. same platform, same chassis, same motor, same awd, same drivetrain. only thing different is a slightly nicer interior and saab designed front and rear.
i love the 92x, but yes, impossible to find. you can get it any subaru tuner shop too!

How is this for dropping one right in your lap. '08 Spec B for under 20k. Better jump if you want it though.

Thanks. And you are totally fine in here. I would go with a Spec B with a 6mt, no question about it. Same motor and trans and rear end as an STi, tons of mod potential, aluminum suspension bits etc... And you can get a nice one in your price range.

Here's a difference (that I know of) between an Audi and a Subie ... Door seals. The Audi has two seals (one on the door and one on the body) for each door. Helps keep the car pretty quiet. You do hear the drivetrain (AWD after all) and the V8
I love my car. Glad I have it.

the car costs twice as much. it should have twice the door seals.

Engine wise, yes. I replaced the sways to get rid of the body roll, but that is about it. I was going to do the accessport stage 1, but after reading about the minimal gains on the 07s I held off. I would like to go the stage 2 route but seeing how I have a few more years of warranty left I have been hesitant. I've never been in a stage 2 LGT so there isn't that big of a temptation yet.

Yeah I hear you, but with a stage 2 bolt ons and tune that would probably void his warranty, just something to keep in mind. I guess my point is it all depends on what you are coming from to the Legacy. If you are driving a beater and looking to step up then by all means, but when you already have an 07 TLS(if it was a previous gen TL then ok), I just don't see the justification, just my

Yeah I hear that. I am not trying talk you out of it either, just throwing my thoughts in. The AWD is real nice, but then again it won't help you as much where you live as it does for other like myself.

Question for the GT guys
I'm thinking of getting a Legacy sometime in '09 and I a GT without the insurance increase that comes with owning it over a non turbo 2.5.
So how hard would it be to put a turbo setup in?
Is it worth it or should i just pony u the extra $$$ per month on insurance and just buy a GT from the start?
I don't plan on tracking it and I don't street race so will I even feel a big difference in the ride?

get the GT.
you cant just turbo the nonturbo legacy. its not worth it, the motor wont be able to handle anything over 220-230whp.
the LGT motor is far stronger and can hold up much better than the NA motor. the 2.5i legacy is just not as mod-able as the LGT is.

I am seriously considering getting an 08 Outback 2.5i wagon or an 08 Legacy 2.5i sedan. The only mod I will ever do is tints. I think I prefer the looks of the wagon over the sedan and the Outback over the Legacy.
I cant think of any competitors to the outback/legacy besides the audi & volvo offerings and I dont think I will be buying a audi/volvo any time soon.
aaronnn - your legacy is sick!

LGT is the way to go with the 2.5 turbo.

Matt, car is looking great!
Funny that this thread came up. I had my old lgt for a few days this week. Buddy wanted to borrow my car for a few days so I drove the bp5 for a few days. Still love that car. Can't go wrong w/a lgt.

The LGT has an STi longblock, essentially.... just a different turbo. Also the suspension is much more livable in the LGT compared to the STi, even though the handling is not quite at the same level. It also looks way better than the STi, just my
I honestly have no idea why anyone would get a WRX over an LGT, no offense to anyone. Lower insurance, I'm 95% sure (never checked), looks a lot cleaner, has a more grown up interior.... and that Spec B going for 20k what a deal. I love the new black leather/alcantara interior.

No. Over here, the mini-disc (remember those) is still a somewhat popular format for recording music. Essentially, you get the space of a CD in a rugged shell. Not my cup of tea, but it came with the car.
I really wish I had the McIntosh stereo. That unit is to die for.....

Mikechicago- My insurance was no more for the LGT than the CL-S. You'd spend a couple thousand just trying to put a turbo in the 2.5i, plus you could forget about a warranty.
